With 50 first place votes for league MVP, while Mahomes received 48 votes (deservedly so), Jalen Hurts received only one vote and Josh Allen got one as well.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni wasn’t even nominated for coach of the year.
If you don’t think the Eagles use this as motivation, you’re crazy.
If any team needs added incentive to perform up to their potential in a Superbowl then that doesn't say too much for them as professional athletes.
Always looking for angles that appeal to the baser human emotions of envy, revenge, anger is a fan type of mindset and IMO not based in reality.
Whichever team blocks better and tackles better will win this game. Simple as that.

Hurts was front runner for MVP and very well would've won the award if not for his injury..... to say Sirianni "wasn't' even mentioned" well, the results show a different story...

If you listen to the players they will tell you and have told you over the years that disrespect is a huge motivator for them and that getting respect will take away that big chip on their shoulder.
Both players and coaches have talked about this for years and years.
To think there is nothing EXTRA that motivates players other then a championship is just being uneducated when there is so much evidence out there that supports it.

That is correct, Hurts likely wins if he stays healthy. I do believe Sirianni deserved to be higher, 2nd year he leads his team to the Super Bowl and 14 regular season wins. Remember in 2020 the Eagles were 4-11-1 and last season Sirianni in his 1st season took them to the playoffs and had a winning record with 9 wins. His defense produced 4 players with DD sacks and offensively tied for the most points in the league. Hurts became a star this season, no one can honestly say he was going to have the season he had. Not sure what else he could have done. Shanahan gets the 2nd most votes? More like Brock Purdy and CM should have gotten MVP votes. Just my 2 cents...
A lot of this folly is 'fan projection'. It is what neophytes presume and fantasize to be what happens in locker rooms before big games.
Four time winning Superbowl head coach of the Steelers Chuck Noll told his players that if he had to motivate them, he would fire them.
Great head coaches game plan and in other ways prepare their teams for big games. Film study and diagnosing opponents' tendencies are a major focus.
Laughable if you fantasize that successful head coaches are clipping out articles from the local rags and scotch taping them to bulletin boards when in actual fact they are designing a game plan and using logic and their experience to craft a win. That cheerleading coaching style went out with Knute Rockne.
None more evident then when the mayor of Cincy completely disrespected the Chiefs by calling it Burrowhead stadium before the game. After the game Travis Kelce laid him out with expletives and shouts of support for Mahomes.
Please don't tell Mahomes he is a underdog then 
Personally coach of the year should have been Pete carol because of the Vegas total season wins 4 which he superseded.. Dabols Giants win total was 7 I believe.. expectations count in my book but I’m nobody that’s just my opinion..
Or shanahan considering the Vegas win total being high and still passing it with his starting quarterback being knocked out early in the season then his back up quarterback being knocked out for the season and having his 3rd string quarterback take them one game away from being in the Super Bowl.. and that is the main reason because I just can’t see any other team/coach getting one game away from the dance with a 3rd stringer..
Sirianni had the easiest schedule perhaps that is why there were points “deducted” from the big picture not to mention the quarterbacks and backup quarterbacks the team faced.. also they have the most pro bowlers going against that schedule.. sort of a lay up without much resistance.. but take my opinion with a grain of salt because I have never liked Sirianni.. I will give him respect if he gets past the divisional round next year..
The MVP was just because Jalen was hurt during the season and missed games and it’s affected his play the second half of the season.. games missed count
either way I’ve lost respect for the NFL as far as Probowl goes and the bias popularity “honors” bs.. there were lots of players “snubbed”.. example Geno smith winning was pathetic when the award is for comeback player of the year and been injury related.. Barkley or McCaffrey should have won that..
The Eagles could use this for fuel but at this point there is so much film.. it’s going to come down to mistakes and who makes the most athletically and mentally.. that goes for coaches too..
