The eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie is the ultimate Liberal Simpstain of the NFL. This news isn't shocking to me at all.

This is a laughably ignorant comment.  While he does favor Democrats, Lurie has donated money to several Republicans (some repeatedly), including Santorum, Dole and GWB.  Most of his large $5,000 donations have gone to the NFL:
