As a long time fan of the Cowboys, I dont see how many will back the Cowboys here this early. WHY? Besides with the E-girls being a team on a mission and having blown the Boys out already the first outing, if the Giants win the early game vs the Jets, then the Boys/Eagles game doesnt have much affect as it would had the Giants lose to the Jets. If the Giants win, then that would eliminate the Eagles from playoff contention, and the game for the Cowboys would deemed not a "MUST WIN" for the Cowboys since no matter what. The game vs the Giants would be a "Winner becomes NFCE Champ" type of game. Who knows, with the injuries the Cowboys have, some might get more resting time than they normally would.
I personally dont buy all that crap about resting players and the Eagles game being "meaningless" like some of the experts have stated if the Giants win the early game. I might sound like Im contradicting myself, but I just feel like it'd be better to make a wager well into the Giants game b/c that game could affect the outcome of the Boys/Eagles game - maybe a tad little.
Just my humble opinion.
Here's an article about a suggestion on whether the Cowboys should rest starters if the Giants win vs the Jets.

Dallas will absolutely NOT resting their players if NYG lose to NYJ, Eagles will win NFC East if both Cowboys and Eagles tie at 8-8 in regular season.
I never said anything about the Cowboys resting their players if the Giants lose. If the Giants lose, then the Cowboys can clinch the division with a win vs the Eagles, why would they even think about resting players?

If the Giants win Dallas would still want to eliminate Philly from the playoff picture thats why they wouldn't rest any players

Oh, Ok. I dont disagree with you here. It's just that theres so much riding on the Giants/Jets game for both team. More so for the Eagles than the Cowboys. IF THE GIANTS win the early game, can you imagine how demoralized the Eagles will be knowing they have been eliminated from playoff despite what everyone will say how that outcome of that game wont mean jack. And if the Giants win, that Eagles game for the Cowboys wont mean as much, because NO MATTER what, the Cowboys WILL have to beat the Giants next week to make playoff.

Exactly,a win over Eagles on sAT. wont mean anything for the Cowboys, Dallas still have to beat NYG in week 17 to win NFC East if Giants beat Jets on Saturday.

Wow, I did not think of this. Altough I think that handicapping based on who needs to win doesn't really work, I would probably wait to see the NYG outcome before betting this game.
Crap, I have Romo and Manning in FF championship this week. Was leaning Romo, but never thought of this angle.

Bottom line, plan like this... The Jets will win. The Eagles will win, regardless of how bad anyone needs anything. So if you are waiting for a line move that is all that is worth waiting for but NOT to decide who has a better chance of winning. GL. I am on Eagles and Jets....and I seriously hope they both lose! Fanhood vs. Finance. I WILL pay to see them both lose!

If the giants win the eagles are not out of the playoff picture first off the giants would be 8-7 the east is very much alive for the eagles to take it and besides the eagles have there last home game against was I think they have the beat chance right now

Week 17 will be the most exciting week to come I personal think that the NFC east will be on the line I think we see the giants either play spoiler or Dallas play spoiler to each other pluse I have a feeling san Diego can still take it I think Denver fails and loses out the next 2

If the Giants win the Eagles are toast.
G-Men would be 8-7, and will play the Cowboys next week, the winner has 9 wins.
