These trolls try to make one loss bigger than it is. Why? Well the write-up is huge. Therefore, the pick becomes a bit of an event. And if I don't hit it, to them, I end up looking bad. Then I don't post for a week or two and they start yelling "Another loser coming" while other guys are posting 4/5 picks a night. Win 2/Lose 3.
I could of course chase after my picks (I don't).
I could post 7 picks in my threads with team totals, halftime bets, O/U's and hit a few/lose a few. Lessen the damage. Look like a genius if all the chips fall in place. I don't of course. I pick one game and run with that. And it will have a big write-up.
I could end up posting my cross-sport teases. I don't. Why do it? To bump my own thread when an NBA game or CFB game hits to complete it...in the NFL forum? Like anyone cares. I don't post the teases anymore unless in the same sport but I of course, did recommend a tease here because I, like Stee, was fully confident Detroit would give this game up (they did).
So let's look at how Scal is a losing capper of late and how effective these trolls are convincing other trolls I lose continually.
Let's go back to the Jags Giants game. I'm 5-6 at that point, essentially down a unit with juice, and I pretty much call the game as it is (Giants will be fully motivated to win it while others here called it a 'sucker bet'). Well guess what, the people on the Jags side needed the greatest comeback in Jags history and not one but two fumble recoveries for TD's.
If you want to call that a great win or cap, you will be a loser over the long-term. That put me at 5-7.
Then I posted:
Giants over Titans W
Eagles over Seattle L
Jets over Fins W (couldn't post the side at 6.5 which was the time of post but of course did recommend the tease)
Had a thread about the Packers beating the Pats - Not a pick but the outcome was a cover. W
This thread which I said Detroit could not win (they didn't) L, recommended a tease (it won and for whatever guys there think, I profited), and Detroit covered by a mere 3. I said the line had a premium built in and it was a concern. No one was hemming and hawing about the spread. I said Detroit would blow it (and Stafford almost fumbled away the cover as well).
These posts ALL had detailed write-ups and even though the Jets Fins wasn't an official pick, I called the game almost exactly as it played out, even though I'm a loser picking the Jets overall this year (another lie).
Now who is the 'loser' here?
These kids running around on this site are a joke. NothingtoDo, right above, is somehow annoyed by write-ups with a lot of content. This is the type of poster we have here. Throw Douche, Snowman, ChampIzHere and all the other dopes in along with him. Mindlessly pick games without any sort of write-up and then say "Hey I'm a great capper aren't I!" when their coin flips come up heads during a streak.
Please.
One game win or lose. To strut around like this was a great pick if you had Det because you middle the 7 (like I said you would if it lost), and to come one guy holding onto a fumble from Stafford pushing this game (lucky but all he had to do was hit the ground), is a joke.
Think about who the real losers are here people. It's not the guy posting write-ups with content for picks that fall a bit short. It's been an unlucky year. Last year was a fantastic one. It'll come back. No skin off my back but the trolls apparently think it's Armageddon for me. It's not. My teases kept my bankroll perfectly intact (and the teases were recommended with the side).
What are these trolls providing? Not much...Hot today. Gone tomorrow.
I could have made everything bold but the last two paragraphs have so much trueness regarding the covers community. I can't count how many times I have shaked my head this season when I read those troll comments who have nothing better to do than bashing other people for a losing pick after they put so much effort to write their thoughts down. It's ridiculous. I don't care whether
places Monopoly money on his picks.
