The best time to "tank" would be away from your home fans, and/or facing a juggernaut fav (Niners) to whom there would be no shame to lose to.

Today,  teams in prime position to make it appear like they are "professionals" trying to win every game (but know that a loss HELPS them) are:

 

weakass 3 - 12 Cardinals, ROADIE (1 - 7), facing HEAVY HOME FAV Philly!

weakerass 2 - 13 Panthers, ROADIE (0 - 8), facing desperate  8 - 7 Jaguars

weakass 4 - 11 Patriots, ROADIE (3 - 4), facing revitalized HEAVY HOME FAV Bills!

weakass 4 - 11 Commandos, at home (1 - 5) facing pissed off HEAVY FAV 49ers!

 

You make da call...

 

 

3 of 4 did  (lose to improve draft position?)

Only AZ bucked the trend.

Personally I like the way they leave the schedule for the final week TBD  so they can move games around for the best primetime matchups.

WASH - PERFECT spot to tank an_cry   ....with no shame losing to heavy fav K'Boys!

TENN - should want to lose facing desperate JAGS but they are at home so they have to make it look convincing in a valiant effort to "not lose badly" LOL. But who knows.....the dummies might play to win, albeit against a good team. an_beatup

NYG - great spot to tank with no shame losing to EAGLES -  who have been playing poorly - they know it! - and will very much want to right the ship today against a tough but beatable opp .....likely in the usual way for the Eagles -- last play of the game to win by only 3  LOL

Zona - PASS! Beating the Eagles recently ON THE ROAD when they could have easily tanked with no shame, proves they are in it to win it! They won't tank. Might lose to a desperate Seahawks, sure, it's plausible. But they won't tank. They want the win in front of their homies!

CAROL - already have #1 draft locked in for every round, so losing doesn't help them any. But winning in front of the hometown fans might be nice.

CHARGERS - losing would be helpful, but really hard to make look convincing with CHIEFS resting all their stars, so I think they will have to bite the bullet here and play for an honest win in front of their homies.

PATS?? - sure, they will want to lose, but they are at home in front of their adoring faithful and they face the awful Jets.... how the hell do you make a HOME loss to the Jets look convincing......omg......Jets meanwhile would benefit too by losing and they can claim it was "a tough road game" LOL
