Dolphins @PATS
Last week in the opener, Dolphins outplayed the Chargers ON THE ROAD, by +100 net yards and a whopping 8.2 ypp to just 5.7 for Chargers -- despite 2 net turnovers against the Dolphins!! Dolphin D looked very good! They should have won by 6+ that game (not just 2)
Meanwhile the PATS were +3.5 pt HOME dogs to the powerful EAGLES......and imo, they OUTPLAYED the EAGLES slightly (even though they lost by 5)..... PATS netted 352 yds to only a meagre 251 for the highly rated EAGLES..... and 4.9 ypp to only 4.1 ypp for Jalen Hurts' team.....pens were even.....but the difference in that 5 pt home loss was a LUCKY pick 6 for 70 yards by EAGLES.....otherwise PATS would have the upset win!
PATS get to be the HOME team again. Dolphins have to be the roadie again.
So....if you've read some of my stuff today then there is a legit Q on the floor: did one (or both) of these teams have a one-off last week? Or neither? Maybe just unlucky for the PATS given they outplayed a very good team? Maybe Miami deserved more than merely a 2 pt win?
Several injuries to both teams!
Looks to me like a coin flip. Could go either way, EASILY! And unless there is a lopsided number of LUCKY BREAKS to either team this should be VERY CLOSE.
Both teams OUTPLAYED their opp last week but I'm going with the homies here and buying points for a little cushion in large part because they outplayed an arguably stronger opp than the Dolphins.
PATRIOTS +3 -150

And the first LUCKY BREAK goes to the Dolphins.....as PATS were driving and made the first down near the RZ and fumble....a PATS player dove for the loose ball and landed on it but a Dolphin player came up with it.
LUCKY DOLPHINS save a score....

Brownies @Stealers
Another coin-flipper.............although IF I was to lay a pre-game bet (which I won't) I would likely favor the Brownies....
However, like the other game, this one could EASILY flip on a LUCKYASS double-tipped INT, or fumble inside either 10

Bryce Young is not impressing........anyone
Saints penned deep at their own 3 to begin this possession, and their O isn't impressing anyone either!

Well there ya go.......
Browns 20 first downs vs Steelers only 9
Browns 408 net yards vs Steelers only 255
Browns flagged for 50 more yds in pens
Lucky Steelers gain net of +2 turnovers, both for TDs (unearned pts)
We all shall remember these key PERFORMANCE stats when assessing next week's matchups when Browns are at home to Titans and the outplayed and VERY LUCKY STEELERS travel to Vegas.....

Cleveland led 11 - 7 at the time he exited. Obviously THAT hampered the Browns and helped the Steelers. But despite that loss of production the Browns still managed all those stats shown above against the bumbling Steeler D...
Remember, the opening pts of the game - just 10 seconds into the game - was a defensive TD after a DOUBLE-TIPPED fluky bounce ball for a pick 6

Oh yes......and one other important point about how incredibly LUCKY the Steelers were to be outplayed badly and still win....All-star RB for Cleveland, Nick Chubb was carted off the field just one minute into the 2ndQ........that early in the game and he had already AMASSED 64 yds rushing on just 10 carries!!! IN ONE QUARTER!!!
