His injury is much worse than most anticipated I watched that interview and Tom Brady is obviously pissed but trying to keep a happy face for the team!! If you saw the clip of him at practice talking to Brian Hoyer.. Hoyer was pulling on his own thumb tendon showing Brady an example and asking him if he could move it !! Brady then looked at his own thumb and shrugged his head and walked away! If the injury was not significant then why wouldn't you say so ?? Because it obviously is !
Yes, the Patriots and TB are concerned about bettors worldwide, no doubt. Yes, the Patriots, the greatest team of all time have to create distractions because they fear they cannot beat the Jagwads otherwise. Ok, now I get it.
The Brady injury is all a hoax to create some distraction for the Jagwads so they prepare for Brady Hoyer because they are terrified of Hoyer.
To me-
1) Brady is hurt, no doubt about it. The idea that he would miss practice for two days as a distraction would be more beneficial than actually practicing is ludicrous.
2) Brady will play. The two points now given to the Pats and getting the line at 7 instead of 8.5 is a dream come true.
3) Brady will not be at 100%, this is really the only question, how well does he play? To me, stitches on the throwing hand if they are superficial after 4 days should have healed to give him little impact.
4) The Patriots did not create the story but are they using it? Of course they are, they are the Pats afterall and will use any advantage, no matter how small.
5) Did Brady play it up at the press conference, yes, yes and yes. See 4 above.
