It is looking more and more like Russell Wilson will start versus the Jets on Sunday night. Tomlin updated his health status and verified that he was in consideration as the starter, but nothing set in stone.
Not an easy decision as 3 Steeler O linemen are out and Wilson is no longer as mobile as he once was. The Steeler passing attack remains anemic though and in order to beat the better defenses it requires a balanced air and ground attack.
IMO Fields has played well but he has also missed a ton of wide open receivers. The 4-2 record seems to scream, if it isn't broken don't fix it, but to be considered an elite team there has to be an aerial component to their attack.
The betting line I am seeing is Jets - 1 1/2 but before the Adams' trade the Steelers were favored by 1??? Is that right?
Tomlin's record as a home dog is a stellar ATS 17-6 and some pushes.
Steelers will be getting edge rusher Alex Highsmith back and maybe RB Cordarelle Patterson and Safety Kazee. The backup center played well last week but they can't afford anymore injuries to the O line.
