You're right, Favre might leave next season pending what we do this season.

Do any of you guys think the flight out to Arizona might have any effect on Favre's 40 year old body. So far he has looked phenomenol and doesn't look like he's gonna break down like last year, but this will be Minnys longest road trip so far this year and wanted to see if any of you guys might think this will have an effect on Favre at gametime with any type of jet lag.
Have you ever been on a plane? The kiddie ride at the county fair doesnt count! There is no way in hell that the plane travel on this short of a flight will effect anyone on the team. WOW!??

Uhh, this is not the Vikings toughest opponent, not sure how you are all forgetting but that number 1 at the end of the record was on the road against Pittsburgh during one of the two weeks the Steelers were healthy. If you think at Arizona is as tough as at Pittsburgh, you're nuts
Right on Fairw- And if I remember right if it werent for Pitts 77 yrd fumble recovery for 7 and a 82 yrd INT return for 7, both in the 4th qtr, MN would be undefeated as well... gl boys, but I think this line is right on, should be 5-7 points. STAY AWAY, there are better wagers. gl

The line did not even come out when you made this thread, and its opened up at -5 Minnesota
I made the bet yesterday at 4:48 ET on Sportsbetting.com. I got it at -2.5 as I said. Got no reason to lie brotha. That's why I posted this thread, thought the line seemed fishy cause it was so low. Guess I was onto something because as you said, its - 5 now.

I don't think Warner is going to play... Arizona would be stupid if they put Warner in, just to risk another injury to that old body of his... rest him and play the idiot (Lienhart) for this week.
That said.. Vikings roll to a 6-7 pt win on the road.

Alright, a few comments for this thread. Also a few donkey alerts going on in here.
Minnesota to Phx is about a 3 hour flight. 2 hour time change. Like the above quote, they are not flying to Tokyo. Clearly, Farve isn't a 75 year old in a walker.
The line opened at Minnesota -1 or -2 in most books, due to the fact Warner probly won't be playing. If Warner was healthy, line would of opened at around -3 or -4 for Mini. If the game was in Mini, line woulda been like -6 or so.
Lots of money going on Minni is the reason the line is -4.5 now.
Whoever said Arizona is good at home: Messier, Ice4Blood. This team is 2-3 at home, and people call them the road warrios for a reason. Arizona's trend is winning early games, and games on the road.
Just the facts.

Sorry, but Pitt isn't all that RIGHT NOW.
Ya RIGHT NOW you donk.
When Minnesota played them they had their starting two-time super bowl quarterback. And still shoulda won.
Where is Arizona's super bowl QB right now??? Gettin his head checked.

poker... Arizona is 11-5 at home the past two years... and this team (this year) is identical to last years... so to only use a sample of 5 games to suggest they suck at home is pretty short-sighted...
this year they are playing better on the road than last year... but the REASON this line started out as low as it did was because Arizona is known to be a tough place for teams to win... at least when Warner is playing... they are especially tough as a home dog, going 2-1 SU in that role since last year...
oh and thanks for "just the facts"... facts like: "The line opened at Minnesota -1 or -2 in most books, due to the fact Warner probly won't be playing. If Warner was healthy, line would of opened at around -3 or -4 for Mini. If the game was in Mini, line woulda been like -6 or so."
really? so because Warner is "probly" not playing, the line was only Min (-2)... but if he was going to play, the line would be more like Min (-4)... and then if it was in Min, that line would shift a whole whopping 2 points...
let me give you some advice, before i really start to embarrass you, Poker... KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR IDIOTIC POSTS!

Obviously I'd like to see Leinart start since I have Minnesota. But as I said earlier, even if Warner does start I'm not too worried. I dont think he'll finish the game. Even a decent hit on him & he's done. Glad i got it when I did at 2.5 I think it continues to climb

mojo... it's not crazy... they are just trying to figure out if Warner is playing... the line jumped to 5.5 because people started to say he wasn't going to play... then it dropped back down because Warner said he felt good on Thursday and hopes to play this week...
no great mystery here...

And to think, I got a pick em on this game.. ahhhh...
All this banter and no one breaks down the gist of the game. Let's see...RB's= Vikes have the 2nd best back in the league in AP and Taylor is a proven 2nd back.. Not saying Wells/Hightower aren't good, but they're avg. 92yds per game rushing. Advantage-Minn Which leads me to Defense=Vikes are only allowing 18ppg/avg, that's scary good.. 221passyds/game..With Warner expected to hit targets like Fitz/Anquan/Breaston that's a lot of pocket time. If you're hurt you play scared. If you play scared, you get hurt Mr. Warner Advantage-Minn.WR's= ok..only two names above are enough to say lights out, but it's not the fact that they're better than Harvin/Rice/Berrian who are definetly holding their own. They're feared more and have the experience factor and will get their share of highlight film. Advantage- AZ. And finally QB's- two old warriors, classic showdown.. Thousands and thousands of yards, superbowl champs to each.. sigh.. Sorry, but Farve is my runner up for MVP only behind Peyton Manning right now.. He looks like a new man, like a 18 year old in a strip club with a fistful of 20s.. he's enjoying himself and winning.. Advantage- Minn

Cards is the right side, Vikes highly likely have a big letdown. This is the perfect spot.
Perfect spot for a letdown Coming off an easy blowout victory last week. Playing last year's super bowl contenders on national TV on Sunday night. Don't think they're soooo concerned about playing Cincy nest week at home that they forget to show up this week. How is this the perfect spot for a let down What is the "perfect spot" for a let down anyway? Farve's been doing this way to long to look past anyone. Especially a division leader on National TV.

Arizona is up 2 games in their division so i think they sit Warner. Plus he is having trouble with his eyesight at night and with the lights. Now, even if Warner does play, a huge hit by Jared Allen or the Williams brothers may take him out of the game again.
i'll take my chances on the Vikings at -3/4

Does anyone remember what Favre did to Arizona last year when he was with the Jets? One of his best games ever. Minnesota will beat AZ by double digits. If Warner plays, he will either be forced to make short drops and won't get to use Fitz or Boldin. If he stays in the pocket for any length of time, he'll be on his back more than Jenna Jameson in a gangbang. Lienart will complete more passes to the Viking D line than he does to his own team. Favre also likes the spotlight and primetime games. Look for a big game by Favre and Petersen. MN by 14 or more.
