Well Packers, you may have changed and may want to stick to capping sports which is all I ever wanted, but these other ne’re do wells (to quote the Twilight Zone Episode “The Silence” where a man slits his vocal cords to win a bet where he couldn’t talk), it will never happen.

Win or lose, at the end of the day when all was said and done, Scalabrine just wanted the average Joe to have a little extra money in his pocket (actually A LOT more money but I’ll take heat for saying that). The sweetest kind. Money won through a gamble.

Capping games. Teaching you the angles I put together myself my entire life.

And this is the repayment? Incessant trolling? You are right. That is why this is a fuc*ed up world. I came here and the world became far worse.

well, it's a battle only you can choose to fight or walk away from...with the past several months now behind us, I think all that energy you expend fighting with trolls could be better used towards capping and other more relevant life's issues away from covers and gambling.
I am sure you are a decent guy offline, and just morphed into this covers character you created over time...it's all good man, who am I to judge...casinos pool halls and poker rooms eh? we have more in common than you ever thought possible as that trifecta perfectly describes my life between 14-28.

Pocket Billiards is a great game Packers.

People don’t realize that really is the ultimate gambling game that you can partake in heads up. (It’s really a game of skill per se, not gambling).

Too bad pool halls are going the way of the Dodo.

I feel like a piece of gambling Americana will be lost forever soon.

And there really aren’t any prominent pool players anymore to promote the game.

Great game though. I miss it. Beats sitting on you as* for 5 hours a clip peaking at two pieces of cardboard.

I never understood poker lingo.

In pool you hear “Nice shot” because you actually walked up to the table made a shot and likely got position on the next ball. That deserves recognition.

In poker, someone deals the guy J8 offsuit, flops 97A and chases the 10 to the river and hits it and the other guy says “Good hand” when he mucks his top set of Aces.

Huh? That was a luckbox suckout, not a “good hand”. You did nothing but impulsively chase a 4 outer to the river and now you are being congratulated????

Ridiculous.

I was more of a snooker player...set a handicap with almost anyone who wanted to gamble back in the day and away you went...best edge billiard game always favors the better player....then before the online pokerstars Moneymaker poker boom, 9 ball was getting a lot of air play on espn and other tv sports networks, was almost always a filler for daytime tv, but now that's all extinct...pool is indeed dead, atleast compared to years ago.

I grew up in Manitoba, pool halls were the thing back then, arcades in the back, VLTs even further back, and then the round green felt tables with cards and chips flying everywhere way way way in the back....those were the days for sure...show up at 8pm, shoot some pool with the fishies who want to gamble, take their money, head on over to the poker game around midnight, and play until 6am when all the losers have run out of cash and need to go to their day jobs.

Nobody can be more annoying at times than Scal.....I hate most of his politics thats for sure but the guy makes for interesting threads........These contests should call for like a 3 MO ban instead of a lifetime.......3 MO will be more honorable to keep and enough time to get over a person who may be driving you crazy.....

As a direct result of your post I am willing to make a concession to scal. 

Scal, if you agree to never post again in any forum other than a sports related forum, and keep all your words to sports, then I will accept your staying on this site without this constant reminder that you welched on a bet. 

This means no more posts in the PB forum, the GD forum, and the Politics forum. 
Plus, no talk of racial issues, or politics within your sports threads.
