Thoughts on which team(s) & players(s) will be affected most by the NYE festivities (drinking, partying) ...?

Don't worry somebody will be on here Sunday morning telling you to bet the farm on Team X because they heard Player Y was out until 4 a.m. ringing in the new year.

these so called professionals get arrested every other week. then again i dont see much of a factor here.

Unless you were being sarcarstic then these players do go out and party- plenty of these guys are young kids with millions of dollars who don't act like professional athletes. Not all of them are like Tebow or Brees. Too bad we won't know which ones are out acting like donkeys on New Year's Eve

Why did you say Brees? Didn't he sue his mother? Not sure how many kids do that? He also has no respect for the players that played before him and are the reason he makes millions and millions of dollars. Drew Brees is probably a nice guy but Peyton or Eli Manning would have been a better example.

I think this only happens in the NBA.

A few years ago, I was at a strip club in Philly and saw JR Smith, Melo, Birdman and some other players and they were out drinking pretty heavy until late in the morning.

When I got home I loaded up on the Sixers, who were playing the nuggets the next day. The line was Sixers -1.5

Sixers ended up winning by almost 25.

You guys really don't know about football do you. Teams stay in a Hotel the night before a game. And yes, the home team does too. They are on lock down after the team meetings, which end around 10. They can't leave the Hotel for any reason. No booze, no women, no nothing.

i hear you but trust me it isn't just NBA players.Years ago i saw some Saints players out after curfew but that was before i started betitng- they lost the next day but i can't remember what the spread was-

i can see some players if they are not smart if their team has no shot for playoffs. the others be really stupid if they are fighting for the playoffs. they should all be smart party during the week not the day before. who knows what goes through their minds.some might be up all night & day with girl. lack sleep,boos,drugs add up. i hope not. go 49ers

I think you are absolutely incorrect...prime example this year is the Philadelphia Eagles.  A team with bunch of cocky players with big egos obviously party too much Saturday night before home games as evidenced by their 1-5 record at home.  A team with that much talent at a stadium with such rowdy fans should not go 1-5 at home.

Keep an eye on the teams who have had up and down years with playoff potential, but as a long shot.  Also from big cities.  Players from these teams will likely partake in too much partying.


Prime example.  The Jets will be in South Beach.  I'm fairly certain, or at least I hope Sanchez will be more worried about banging the hottest bitch at Nikki Beach or Liv that Saturday than beating the dolphins and MAYBE making the playoffs.  Its Rex Ryans ass on the line, not as much his.  Hes made his money and he likely could not give a fuck.

On the other hand- Jason Taylor, playing in his last NFL game, will be peacefully resting at home with his wife and should be fully amped to end the Jets playoff hopes.

Jason Taylor will be at the team hotel with his teammates, not at home with his wife. Have you not read any of these posts.

You think the eagles suck at home because they go out when they play at home. Dude, read the posts. Teams, ROAD AND HOME are in the team's hotel all night. They have meetings until 10. Eagles lose at home cause they have a bunch of jack-asses who plays for the them. Vick, V.Young and so on
