4-4-2 on Sunday.. Two crushing losses on Carolina and Miami ML, so while demoralizing, each were only nibbles. Pushed both bets for SNF though I managed to grab Philly -1.5 before kick. I posted the line at -2, so it's counted as a push on my record.
Chicago/Dallas OVER 41.5 (20 units to win 19.05)
Sometimes I feel that Jay Cutler and Tony Romo are the same person, or at least built from the same mold. One week they are shredding opposing defenses and the next they are giving games away with their interceptions and poor decision making. Both QBs are coming off games where each failed to throw a touchdown pass. Historically, the following game was one where each put up solid numbers. Here are each QBs career numbers following a game where they failed to throw a TD pass.
Cutler - 63.9% Comp Pct / 263 yds per game / 34-15 TD:Int / 28 team pts per game
Romo - 65.9% Comp Pct / 291 yds per game / 14-8 TD:Int / 22 team pts per game
Each QB has averaged 2 touchdowns per game following ones where they didn't find the endzone. Certainly, the risk exists they could both lay an egg, but history tells me otherwise. I think the total is low enough that I don't need two all-world starts from both Cutler and Romo. Even if one is bad, over backers should reap the benefit of turnovers and mistakes. I'm not sold on the Bears defense being as elite as they have been in years past and my gut is telling me Cutler puts up big numbers. I lean to the Bears + and ML, but I'll likely just hold this one ticket until halftime.

27-24 Dallas. It only seems fitting that these quarterbacks want to put up some numbers and will throw a lot. Bears defense has never been elite IMO, they always seem to give up really big plays. The total is low enough to really like the over. It may hit before the fourth quarter with Cutler and Romo being prone to throwing pick sixes and fumbling every game.
