A few years back the betting world was turned upside down with legal gambling. Did any books end up being bettor friendly? I’ve used a few books and I think they all suck. Anything out there common sense a decent book without getting killed by juice?
im at the point where on a Sunday. 15 NFL games offered. Just give me -110. I used to troll and search for -105s and 102s in the old days…..but I’m at the point…..just give me -110. I’m too old for this.
Then 12 of the 15 games will be -112 or -115 or -118 or -120(and if the juice on my side, the spread isn’t). I tried dabbling in props and the juice is absurd. Or just don’t make sense. Let’s say over 5.5 catches is -155. Just offer me 4.5 for -110!!!! Why this game offering me a full point off the real line?
It’s to the point I reached out to some old colleagues for some locals, but they were ruined by legal betting and was a dead end.
Anyone have some books that are decent? Sorry if this is a topic done to death. Im not on covers like I used to be.

Ive used DK the last few years also FanDuel and both have consistent odds and lots of freebie offers like 10-20-30% off vig on games and live odds are very open and fluid. Ive been good with those two books and expect the same this season as well.

That was the price we payed for "protection" from overseas books via "regulated" US books.
For me adaptation came in the form of the alternate spread. The models I use are good at showing discrepancies and I move the line between 3 and 6 points to land between 125-150.
Not for everyone but long term works for me as I hate laying juice in any capacity.

I should have mentioned that Heritage's 16-cent line (-108) for low rollers is only offered for straight sides and totals in football and basketball. It becomes a 20-cent line (-110) for parlays.

"Regulated" books are really almost unusable, totally unusable for me. They limit you if you happen to beat their insane juice. Whether you bet 50 bucks or 50k, doesnt matter - price is everything.
Books I think everyone should have in their arsenal:
1. Bookmaker.eu 2. Lowvig.ag 3. An exchange
If you have those three, very little reason to look elsewhere.

Dog, that works for me. I’m only a 50/100 dollar bettor these days so I’m far from “whale.” Almost all straight bets. An average weekend for me is - 4-6 college games (straight bets) - 3-5 pro games (straight bets) - 1 three game pro teaser in that +130-150. So I’m no high roller. Thanks Dogbite!
You are welcome. I bet $7 units and far fewer games than you do, so you seem like a relatively big bettor to me.
Good luck this season.

These days, finding a sportsbook that offers fair juice without ridiculous lines can be a challenge. If you’re tired of chasing those elusive -105s and just want a straightforward -110, I'd recommend looking at a few of the newer, reputable online books that focus on transparency and fair pricing. Some of them even offer reduced juice days or specials for NFL games, so it might be worth exploring those options. Also, when it comes to props, finding a site that consistently offers fair lines is key. A lot of bettors are in the same boat, and it's worth doing a little research to find a book that aligns with your betting style.
Speaking of research, it's really important to make sure you're playing on verified and licensed sites. With the rise of legal gambling, there are a lot of shady operators out there that can lure you in with seemingly good offers, but then hit you with unfair terms or shady practices. Using a verified site ensures you’re getting fair odds, timely payouts, and customer support that actually helps when you need it. Plus, these sites are often required to adhere to stricter regulations, which can make your betting experience smoother and more secure. Those "elusive -105" books exist at lowvig.ag
Not so elusive

Ive always used Pinny and betcris mostly as I'm in Canada. I checked out lowvig because of this thread today and ended up signing up. I compared a handful of lines to Pinnys lines for NFL. Low vig. pinny
Bal +3 -108. Bal+3 -116
Kc -3 -102. Kc -3 +106
Gb +2.5 -105 Gb -2.5 -102
Phi -2.5 -105 Gb -2.5 -110
Jax +3.5 -108 Jax +3.5 -110
Mia -3.5 -102 Jax +3.5 +100
Sorry if that's formated weird lol. So just depends which side your on some plays you're better off with lowvig some with Pinny. Knowing USA bettors can't use Pinny I would definitely say to use lowvig as it's the closest thing to Pinny for low juice lines and has even better lines depending on which side you're on. It's definitely going to be a book I use going forward as I shop for lines. The only thing I couldn't find were Alt lines maybe I just wasn't looking in the right place? I'll have to check again

Thank you to all!! I read every post so far, and I appreciate everyone’s thoughts.
Im definitely going to research and jump on a few of these….as I said I’m not a whale. I’m older and for instance this year my unit is 50 bucks. Goal of 40 units (2000 bucks).
I was “hoping” with legal betting in the USA, I can just kick back with a few of the books that popped up in Vegas (or DK, FD etc), but the competitor in me…..last 2 years….IVE BEEN SEETHING EVERY WEEK IN FOOTBALL SEASON. I have a group chat that we text our thoughts and plays and a couple years now….i find myself foaming at the mouth angry that I can’t get a fair lines. Or I was scared off a winning bet because of juice.
I’ve been vowing to find new books and mix things up. Hopefully find some legal US books, but more and more…..it’s looking like I’ll have to go overseas.
Thank you all again. This is so helpful and I hope others stumble in and maybe walk away with a better book or two.

How long has Lowvig been around? Are they as reputable as say 5dimes used to be? I really miss them!!!
As for offshore books, I'd wanna make sure they offer the same benefits like alternate lines, props, promos, etc., be4 depositing. Promos aren't a must though if the juice is better. Will have to check out Lowvig
Banned for using a burning $ emoji. Lol. TRUMP 2024!!!
