What everyone needs to know is.....

Most people on here have been sports betting for years and I'm currently working on a project for school and would really value you alls opinion. I have two questions for you. 

What have you found to be the hardest or most challenging part of sports betting? 

Do you think people can be winners overall and if so, why or why not?

1.) Jpot nailed it, Discipline

2.) No because of VIG. House always wins. Most professional games have uncontrollable variables such as officials. A variable that neither the players nor the coaches nor the handicappers can control.

Don't expect an honest answer from the books. It's too deep to touch.

Toughest thing is being able to take losing streaks without tilting. Surprised no one here thinks winning long term is possible.

1. Discipline and wait for the game that present to you as one with a better chance to bet on and win.

2. Discipline. It is difficult to fill the gap in between games or days that have games that meet your gaming criteria.  After all, that’s why we gamble, right? We want to win fast and often.  We cannot just stop and sit idols and waste our time, com’on!

You are one of the 2%? Doubtful.

The lines tell you everything. Study the lines closely and figure out why the line is what it is. If the line looks too good one way go the other way and forget all logic. 

Its been answered. THE VIG. You can have short term success. But will eventually lose in the long run. 

Why you think more and more states legalizing gambling?  Why are more casinos being built every few years?

Setting limits.  Having an actual bankroll.  Being selective and obtaining as much info as possible for each bet you make. 

With that said. I do pretty well thanks to the covers community.  Alot of amazing cappers. I find the best opportunity to be during the playoffs. 

However I cant ever imagine if sports betting was your only income. That would be too much stress.

Im retired military. With some rental properties. That  occasional play poker (lower limits).  Also swing trades.

You need multiple income stream.  Bet within your means.  Diversify your portfolio/risk.
