Because he is a true athlete and understand football to the start and finish, and smart about the game. Everyone on his team has to step up in the way he leads to victories.

hear him break down the drive in the post game presser? he said the 1st play is key to a gw drive. also used that 1st play to set up td pass to win game. he was thinking plays ahead

He has the strongest arm in the NFL. You need to throw lasers to get the back shoulder throws in the area of the field only your receivers can catch. And he does that with pinpoint accuracy.

Discount double check...he had several years holding the jock to an amazing qb in favre...he learned what it took to be a champ from being around him during those early years...he never was thrown into the fire on a bad team and was exposed to rib shots sack after sack...the guy is a legend in gb...Rodgers is a stud in an era where outside of Brady, Peyton, Brees, theres not much else to pick from.
Decent points. Reminds me of the Montana/Young combo. Though of course, both were able to throw to the greatest WR in history in Rice, among some stacked teams.
Young and Montana didn't get along as well though, so the handing of the team was not as enjoyable a process for Montana.

Dak ran the ball in himself for a touchdown from about the 10 yd line, leaving Rodgers a little more then a minute on the clock with possession. That was a stupid mistake. Probably what he should have done was run and then down the ball on the half yard line so that his offense could have milked more time off the clock before scoring. His mistake cost Dallas the game. Rodgers doesn't do stupid things like that.

In my opinion, once on the 30, he should have just ran the ball out and leave at most, 30 seconds on the clock. Instead, the threw twice, both incomplete. That cost them the game in my opinion.
Elliott was averaging 4 yards a carry, you are in 4 down territory, just run it out and eat up the clock assuming he doesn't run the entire field.

This was a very interesting thread that was started. Aaron Rodgers is a bad bad man but the main reason why he is so good is his preparation. The key play in that final drive was the scramble out of the pocket that set up the TD pass. Rogers does not make that play without a tremendous read which only came from all of the film he likely watched in preparing for the Cowboys. Yes, he is blessed with great athletic ability and he is definitely cut from the same cloth as Brady & Montana when you look at his focus in high pressure spots but to me, it all starts from preparation.

Beyond his technical capabiltiies (throwing) and being a great athlete it is his mind. Rodgers truly can read a game and that sets him apart from the rest

Why does every Rogers thread turn into a GOAT debate?? That wasn't even the premise of the thread.
I just think GB has wasted quite possibly the best QB the NFL has seen....Yes, Brady has many more rings, but had GB had any defense the last 5-6 years they would have 3-5 rings themselves...
If you look at the great QBs...they all have 1 or 2 great strengths maybe....Rodgers is the only QB that literally has them all....
And there is a very good chance he wins only 1 or 2 rings because GB refuses to spend money and make the defense better
