I am a big Eagles fan and my father-in law passed away last year and the he too was a big Eagles fan, the last thing he said to me was the Eagles were winning the Superbowl. So that has been the reason, I kept putting more money on them throughout the year.

Yesterday after the Giant game, my first instinct was to hit Philly hard when the line dropped. I figured it would be 3, and it was, but I didn't pull the trigger. Digging into the game, I realized that Arizona just may be the play. I locked it up at +3 +110 for half a unit, and as I think the line is going up, I will hit it at 3.5 or 4 for the rest of the unit.
As for the switch in thought, I dont know. Philly has looked like total shit beating up teams that couldn't get out of their way. I understand that Philly had a part in making Minny and the Giants look bad, but Eli and T-Jack would have been awful no matter who they played. On the road AGAIN. Giants lumped them up a bit. Going against an actual offense for once as they haven't seen a good offense in months. Meanwhile Arizona is playing great ball, and making plays rather than backing into wins.

Are you speaking of the same T Jack and Eli who went into AZ and dismantled them? As for philly looking bad lets not forget these are the playoffs on the road against what i can remember top tier defenses....Is AZ playing great ball or are teams looking past them like everyone else? I dont think that happens in a championship game against a playoff battled veteran team IMO. Defense wins championships not offense

Glyde Value is now officially out the window. We cant bet these games based on the lines because the lines are made to throw guys like us off. I chose my score and sides before i seen the line. In the regular season, or even in the Wildcard round, shoot, even if it was in the divisional round Arizona would be a favorite here. The point spread doesnt matter. Philadelphia wins by double digits here.
Arizona beat the Panthers who in all honesty have sucked the last 6 weeks of the season. I mentioned it last thread that they have been giving up close to 30 points a game, and if you check my original lean, i said im going to put a touch on the ML with the Cards. That victory is nowhere near as impressive as the victory against The Giants. We're talking the superbowl champs, who are at home where they are virtually unbeatable, we're talking with 1 week rest, we're talking with Revenge on their minds, against a rowdy crowd. Arizona played against Atlanta and Carolina thats nothing compared to the physicality of The Giants and Vikings. Both teams who beat up on Arizona may i add. Far as i know, Philly didnt sustain any major injuries. While statistically the wins may not look so impressive, but watching the game, you have to be extremely impressed with the Eagles. Stats dont tell the whole story. Finally they play a team that Westbrook can dominate against. I dont know, maybe im just a big fan, but i dont see this game being close.......31-13

Im pissed, i just went to lunch came back and seen that. I hate point spreads, now i dont know what to do. 6 is a serious number and the prospects of 6.5 is extremely high. At 4 i love Pitt...but @ 6.5 being a value-better im caught.....Maybe a tease either way

You make great points, Slingzz. This is a tough game and I can almost look at both sides and find five good reasons why they win.
I don't know though. I just look at Philly's road games dating back the last two months. Tied Cincy. Beat by the Ravens. Beat a Giant team that in retrospect haven't played a good game in months. Played horrible in Washington. Played horrible at Minnesota and snuck out with a win. Played horrible against the Giants and snuck out with a win. They have to be a tired team as the last SEVEN games have all pretty much been playoff games. Flying west to play the Cards who are blazing hot at the right time.
I have faith that the Cards will have a decent gameplan loaded with plenty of hot routes and audibles for the Philly D. I think they can put up a reasonable 24 points on this defense. In that case, I just don't see the Eagles scoring 28 with their offense(assuming Warner and company play a good CLEAN game and not turnover the ball 3+ times). I also say this assuming that Samuels won't have another game changing pick 6 to carry his team. How many games in a row will this guy single handedly keep his squad in a game that they are getting outplayed?
