Why Do So Many Enjoy Betting Football?

I get it is the biggest sport and everyone loves Sunday, but in terms of just betting, it seems to be an overall bad experience for most. NBA & NHL seem to be much more friendly in terms of variables at play and truly trying to find that hidden spot or edge. 

The NFL just feels like a cluster****. Whether you bet on teams who are inconsistent every week or if you bet on players it seems like a good spot but usually ends badly given how little control a WR or RB has on the field in general. 

I think we enjoy betting which of the 2 ice cubes would melt first here

If you understand the game then betting on it will makes more sense to you.  

I only play because I want to piss off my bookie.  The fool kept quiet when I win and comes blowing up my phone as soon as I lost and the clock hits zero.  He's targeting me and no one else.  

This is why I play.  To make him fear of me.  I'm coming after all of his money.  

I bet the NFL because there is nothing else to do. Yeah I know maybe I need a hobby or whatever. Don’t like betting NFL or NBA. I’d much rather college football and basketball.

penalties are used to dictate the outcome of a lot of these games. Just really frustrating. Anytime you have a multi billion dollar business things will always be influenced.

 I agree. Betting the NFL has become SO boring and stale. Rarely are there large upsets or any value to be found anywhere. College football is where the fun AND the $$$ is at. 

The positions in football are a lot more specialized than in other sports and because of that there is a lot of strategy and match ups to analyze. Very similar to chess. That's why I like it personally.
