why would you keep trying to win when you could get a higher draft pick. they seem to play hard still and Im sure they'd like a different qb

The players have an average like 3-5 yr career, they dont care about draft picks or long term. They need to perform so they can get a contract and make money while they can

Because players still want to win! They still want that next contract. Pride. Etc

These guys "want to lose" and have teams draft guys to take their jobs?

I hear you guys but feel this would be a management decision. therefore don't field all of your best players, don't play all of the first string and run plays, formations, and coverages that are counter productive to winning the game. the players can still play their hearts out but they just won't win because of factors keeping them from winning. this happen in the nba.

there are a lot of salty people about CU losing yesterday in a fairly meaningless game where avoiding injury was a pretty important factor

i dont know who has the tiebreaker if the NYG win but yeah i cant understand that one either.  Daboll and crew are likely fired so they wouldnt mind winning just as a final FU to the Giants mgmt, but they are also fighting for their jobs next year.  same for some players.  but guys like Nabers certainly would love to get the #1 pick and a top QB in the draft
