Hey buddy, I can't speak to the spread, as I have the Colts teased to -3, and your reasoning is sound as heck (you probably know more about these teams than the coaches:), but I the intangibles (imo) favor the Colts. Here are some trends to ponder:
Teams that lost their opening game on the road bounce back at a 28-15 SU & 30-12-1 ATS (71.4%) rate when playing at home in Week 2 over the L5 seasons. (+16.8 units, R.O.I.: 40%, Rating: 7*)
2015 Potential Plays: Play ON NEW ORLEANS, PITTSBURGH, MINNESOTA, CLEVELAND, NY GIANTS, PHILADELPHIA, & INDIANAPOLIS
Week 2 teams playing as favorites or underdogs of less than 3 points against an opponent that scored more than 30 points in the prior week are 28-6 SU & 24-7-3 ATS (77.4%) since '03 (+16.3 units, R.O.I.: 52.5%, Rating: 8*)
2015 Potential Plays: Play ON CLEVELAND, WASHINGTON, INDIANAPOLIS, GREEN BAY, & CHICAGO (note: SD & CIN cancel each other out)
Again, I have the Colts teased to -3, so I'm dealing with a different animal. The other thing I have to say, regarding intangibles, is "Luck," in more ways than one. We saw what Manning, Brady and Rodgers did this week to very good defensive teams (with few offensive weapons). The great ones have a way of doing that. I know your opinion of Luck is not high, but I do consider him to be a great one and one of the faces of the league. This last fact is important because officiating will also play a role in the outcome. Call it home cooking or whatever you want (we some of it in last night's game) but If the Jets get called for holding penalties in the secondary, that will help loosen up that defense.
As always, Good luck!

yeah gang, this guy is right. rushing yards means nothing. i actually hear a rumor they're banning it soon because it's just worthless, has zero impact on the game. got this game circled guys, drew a circle around it on a piece of paper months ago because i saw a stat that Luck only beats the titans and jags, it's circled, lock city!!!
Frank Gore's o/u rush yards prop is set at 54.5 if that makes you happy.
Gore has 3 rush td's in his last 15 games. He has zero rush yards against a Todd Bowles defense in 4 career starts.
Now think about how hard it is to win an NFL game w/ a one dimensional offense, then re-read the OP and pay special attention to Andrew Luck's history against good coverage defense's.
Now think about what you would like to type on your next post.
We are here to talk football like gentlemen.

Chill out bro, I meant "the running game" but wrote "rushing yards". Overall rushing yards are misleading and it's what you do with the rush when it counts - like converting 3rd and 3 or having a few good runs under your belt to maybe draw a safety in, etc... stuff like that.
Having a healthy Ivory tonight is an important key against the Colts D. Luck ran for 10 yards on 4 carries last week and I thought a little about both of those would be talked about.
Reason being is I am on the U46 and Colts TT U27. I am hoping for some solid ground game and clock management tonight as well as Jets 24-20 to hit my spread and ML bet
just sayin' and GLTA
20 yards on 4 carries
The pen is mightier than the pigs

nice write up but I do not see the jets holding andrew luck to 3 scores in his house. Jets will need at least 28 in order to have a chance at covering. GL!

Nice write up but I think ur giving too much credit to the Jets defense and running game. I expect the Colts to score enough to cover the spread and Marshall isn't the WR he once was.
28-14 Colts.

the Indy colts are not the clev browns, but I think the Jets defense even with antonio cromartie not 100%, will stay within reach in this Prime time game... I live in NY and the talk of the town is not the Jets, but the Mets, NY giants, and Yankees... And I always feel when the Jets are low key, without drama, they show up at least....

Thanks for taking the time for the write up Suuma.
I got colts straight up on a parlay ticket.
second tic I picked luck to get 2 tds + 275 yards + colts straight up but with Revis and Cromartie it might be hard for luck to cover this second pick.
Hope its a good game and good luck covering Jets fan just don't win

I like them too. In my opinion Indy has the worst front 7 in football and the Jets have a good oline and power runningback. Not a good combo. Fitzpatrick is better than people think.
your right bro. Fitzpatrick, has high football iq. Jets defense will always keep them in the game. Relatively healthy defense... anyways we will see...
