Why would Detroit not care about tonight?

If Detroit wins tonight, they can tie next week and still claim the #1 seed. I get ties are uncommon, but it gives the lions another out. It would force the Vikings hand if it goes to overtime. Lions lose tonight and they can only get the #1 seed with a win. Tie does them no help next week.

Not saying Detroit is a lock tonight, but Campbell and Co would be aware of this situation.

well lets see if they lose tonight and next week, minny gets the home field.  If they lose tonight and next week and philly wins, then philly will have a 14-3 record  where as detriot will have a 13-4 record.  So if they have to play philly, they wont even have home field against them.  So its kind of foolish for them not to try and win tonight, in case they dont win next week.  They lose both games and philly wins next week, detriot will be the third seed
