Not a betting thread, but if this first quarter is any indicator this league is going to be a success. They have the funding unlike the AAF, but more importantly it's obvious this league is putting an emphasis on pace of game. This might change with time, but right now it's so dman refreshing to see a football game not interrupted by commercial breaks every 3 minutes.

I also love the way they are presenting the game. Less long shots at the sidelines and more inside info with mic'd up players and coaches. I'm also loving the different kickoff. Refs seem to be laying off the flags too - on that first DC drive that would have been delay of game in the NFL.

That was good stuff If it doesn't succeed hey-the people don't love football anymore. I just can't see a better product out there. How you can't be entertained-you're just not a football fan.
It's just that the NFL is a much higher caliber. This is like dollar store NFL to me, not really interested.
For sure, you're right. No question.
You like college right? It's better than that.

How can you state that it will be a success? No one knows anyone on the teams. And if there is a dude here and there that pops off, an NFL will come and offer more money.
I watched the game yesterday and it was cool because it was different. But it was way to foreign because I did not know anyone on the teams and everyone who was playing was an undrafted dude. That is not interesting.
Also another thing, it is cool how you can listen in to the player's live and the refs/coaches, but that makes it seem like a fun spectacle instead of a real game that people are going to watch every weekend.

I wish that I could bet on it folding....Easy DOUBLE UP ...If this last a full season I'd be shocked ..Might as well go down to the Y , and watch 40-50+ guys play basketball..
it will for sure last at least 2 years. too much time and money invested. But long term I give it less than 5% chance

I think it may survive in part because of the timing.
You have after the Super Bowl (people miss football), plus there is nothing else on at the moment (unless you're a basketball or hockey fan). And baseball---forget it-you know you're watching football.
Entertaining...imo.
