 The running back was averaging under 2 yards per carry, with negative yards on his last two carries. They figure if they run, they give the ball back with a little time left. If they pass, they either get the first down and end the game, or they don't, and give the ball back with a little time left, and just need a stop. But yes, I would have prefered the running it and seeing Lions have less time.

 Sometime the lines going down doesn't mean peoples are necessarily taking Lions. Vegas (lines maker) knew noob public would be all over the Cowgirls (America team) playing at home coming off 2 road losses needing a win bad (thinking blowout). So they offer the opening line under a touchdown (-6) 2pull in the early Cowgirls actions. Vegas continue to lower the lines throughout the week to entice more Cowgirls wagers and you know/witnessed the outcome. 

Also look at the over/under. They know Dallas can score at home and Detroit has the firepower offense to put up points. So they set it high at 52/53+ leading the public 2think that this game going 2be a shootout. It's supposed 2be 3-0 Lions not 3-7 at halftime hahaha. Nothing as it seem on these single Prime Time game. Cowgirls and Over was 2ez and obvious. So the outcome was Lions and under.

Last 2 Thursday night they allowed the public 2cash with RAMS and Browns. Just 2take it all back and some on the weekend and Monday. Remember, it's a entertainment business to make moneys for themselves not for us.
