Lots of dogs barked last night. Man, last several years the East coast teams had the exciting games while the West coast team/games had the snoozers. This year, it appears the West games are freaking exciting but I miss them all because, I am old and need to sleep. How about those Devils! As I stated in IN-Game last night, referee McIsaac last 4 games has had 9, 11,11 and 9 goals per game. Just something to watch. 

Short on time. I am off for the weekend to visit daughter in Athens and watch some game that features Georgia and Tennessee. Wonder if it will be any good?

tonight's Sabres game is another example of the Swords catching a break playing a team that played a tough game that went to OT the night before so one would think the young Swords should have the edge as the game goes on. And yet they are +170. and heck, Craig Anderson could get the start, who may be noticeably better than Comrie (who they are trying to force into the #1 position because of his age and stuff). 

Omega I do like the Sabres position here, Carolina played a tough one against Tampa last night and this seems like a perfect letdown spot. And Anderson is usually solid, although during his time with Ottawa he did have a tendency to lay a clunker every now and then I noticed. Think I may look into +1 or something similar?

My reads on games has been shit lately so ......... beware.

Enjoy Doc.  Sharks game was pretty good too.  Cats dominated for 1st 2P and then jet lag set in and Sharks scored 3 straight.  It was freaking Free Taco night if Sharks held on, but alas Cats got the equalizer with like 30 seconds left, and then won it in SO.  

Me, and the 7 other San Jose fans still there were so bummed... 

GA...enjoy the weekend with your girl. I still have old ties to eastern TN where my post college career started so I am pulling for Rocky Top.

As far as tonight...Swords in some fashion or nothing for me.

 I think the line has more to do with the Canes winning 9 of the last 10 in this matchup. That's just my opinion. I kinda like the under in this one if we do see Raanta v Anderson. Anderson has been pretty solid in his 3 starts and Raanta has played well also. Neither team seems to give up more than 3 goals in vast majority of their games. I can see a 3-2 or 4-2 type game here today. Hard to pull the trigger on it though with 6 of the last 10 games going over 6.5 goals. But the Sabres are 1-3 to the under in road games this year and the Canes are 1-2 to the under at home. Might take a stab at it if the Avs can get the PL win here at 1:00pm in Finland.

Panthers have lost recently to AZ, PHI, CHI and needed a shootout to beat SJ. Yet they are the #1 ranked team on Moneypuck. The games I've watched of theirs, they have NOT passed the eye test and to Dyamarik's point, they lack energy and discipline. I cannot for the life of me figure it out. I guess it's because they are #1 in shots per game, but there's more to the game than just shooting. IDK.

Looking further, they're at the top of the league in SA/G - but at the bottom in PP and PK. Lots of strange stuff going on with them. I suspect losing Huberdeau is a major blow to their PP as well. So if anything, once they gel a bit more and correct the PP (missing Ekblad too), I'd expect them to be winning soon at a much higher clip. Something to keep an eye on.

Jarmo Kekäläinen,Joonas Korpisalo, and Patrick Lanie have value in your player prop section of you books if you cant figure out who to bet for early game. Personally leaning Avs but ultimately couldn't pick a side or a total. Starting reading the storylines for the game and found out these 3 players are all back in their home country, think they got something to play for.

Peel ,538 has Panthers listed as 6th in their ELO ratings for what it's worth? Behind Av's, Bruins, TBay, Carolina and Vegas. That's down from 4th at the start of the year and from as high as 2nd at one point. Something about Florida just doesn't seem right, maybe it's the new chemistry of the trade I don't know, but  they don't seem to be as dominant as last year. Things may change but this Western trip has not been their best hockey and now they have the hot Kings coming up. Would like to know Dy's read on this team before the game Saturday. Do they have what it takes to beat the Kings?

Re: Cats  Watching full game in person last night, the talent is undeniable.  They were the better team when focused.  I tihnk peel and rustie are spot on, and I personally think its that they are not focused for 60 min on a regular basis.  They should have won that game 4-1 or 5-0.  Sharks got a quick goal to start the 3rd, and they came alive.  Cats should have stepped it up and shut that shit down.  This team aint winning shit if they dont fiix that.

This is a team to stay away from esp. against weaker teams.  Just my 2 cents.  BTW: I am going to see them play again in Anaheim Sunday (not LAK Sat).  Ducks +1.5 is definately in my betting queue as is ML and maybe even Regulation.  That will be 3/4 nights & OTR.

Last night on the in game thread I mentioned something.

While I was watching the VGK game, local broadcast, during the 2nd intermission one of the commentators brought up that, apparently, Ryan Reynolds is possibly in talks to maybe purchase the Sens. Deadpool owning the pesky Sens.

 Good to see you around. You can find that info the day of games on Scouting the Refs. Gives all kinds of stats for the nights officials, including penalty minutes,  penalties called,  % the home team wins when they call the game and even their records with those teams of the night Etc...

 According to Sens reporter. It's true he's looking and even talked to banks but he'll have to have partners with hockey folks. 

The fact that Jarmo Kekäläinen is from Tampere and the CLB and COL game is in Tampere got me thinking...

Have, not heard that one about Reynolds but it is interesting. Who ever it is will need pretty deep pockets because I think a new Arena is also in need.
