Some tt's I will watch today. Sens over 2.5, Sabres tt over 2.5, Flyers tt over 2.5, Yotes UNDER 2.5, Sharks over 2.5 and Preds over 2.5. Have to catch these 2.5's because coming soon, they will be harder. Right now, the whole league is hitting 3 most nights.
If I would have just listened to my gut would have gone 5-1 but I will take a 2-0 posted (3-0 thanks to Outlaw for the unposted Sens). Knights 9-0, Devils 8-0, Boston 9-1. Pens got off the snide Wednesday, Blues off Thursday. That leaves the Flames losing 7 in a row, Sharks losers of 5 in a row and the Pesky Sens 7 in a row. Tkachuk looked so disappointed last night with that loss. Canes and Rags should have saved some of those goals for later. Rangers with 6 in the 3P along. Where has that been? Said it last night, was the Oil off-season goalie pick up really an upgrade? Well, didn't watch so someone will have to fill in the blanks. Did Carter Hart lose his mojo or did the BJ's find their's? It is still early but who leads the Metro? By 3 points? AND...AND The Yotes are actually in playoff position on November 11th. Woke up and was surprised by the Hawks/Kings game.
Couple of intriguing games tonight. Remember when the Leafs came back from the West and then beat the B's and Canes? Can the Flightless Fowl perform the same trick? Last 10 games it is 5-5 for each. Actually, 6 of the games have been UNDERS and 5 of the last 6 in Toronto have been unders. Toronto ranks 23rd in the league for goals scored at 2.86 and rank 8th for goals allowed at 2.71. Just can't figure out this Kallgren kid. I said I was going to avoid Leafs game and will probably stick to that. Jarry has it in him but has really been bad lately.
Fishy line to me. Tampa -145 vs MASH unit Caps. Carlson appears to be returning for tonight. Tampa just off a lost to the Oil. Another even type series with one team 5-4-1 and the other 5-2-3 (OT game? ). I can understand Caps struggles with injuries. They are one for their last 6 games vs Oil in which they scored 4 PP goals. Tampa avg. 9 PM/game and PK is only 78.7%. Caps PP is 25%.
Sharks on b2b in Dallas. Sharks are 1-2 in b2b games so far this year. The only win was in Philly. The Sharks are scoring. They have scored 3 or more in 7 of their last 8 games. Sharks have scored a total of 6 goals in the last 4 games played in Dallas. The Stars coming off a 3 game roadie where they didn't show up the last game in Winnipeg. Dallas is 4-1 at home for the year. Otter was on the ice practicing yesterday for Dallas. Check on the starting goalies later. If he starts and you like Dallas jump on some type of bet now as it will jump in a hurry.
The, can't figure them out, Wild visit the up and coming Sea Monsters tonight. Wild were held scoreless for 7 straight periods until they found something in the 3P vs Ducks (but everyone is finding something playing the Ducks). Sea Monsters winners of 6 of the last 7 games. Seattle beat the Wild 8 days ago 4-0 in Minnesota. In fact, the Sea Monsters have played the Wild 4 times (won 2) and scored 14 goals or 3.5 G/GM.
On a side note. WHL at 3:30 today. Red Deer visits Brandon Wheat. Red Deer coming off a b2b losing weekend vs Winnipeg and are now 15-2. Brandon has played 7 home games and have been beaten by the PL in 5 of the 7. I feel a little red arse from the Red Deer today. 1.5 is a good price tag.

They did the same thing last year when Vegas played there. The Swords won & Jack didn't do so hot. I guess they thought they could do the same this time. Didn't work out so well.

DeSmith. Hmm Interesting. Something is not being reported with Jarry then. I like it they are getting people back healthy (Carter on that 3rd line). During that stretch, they were missing some key pieces but they still played well. They gave up leads, what 4 games. They worked a little harder vs Caps the other night to play tighter and I think that is what this team needs to do, stop worrying about high flying and play tight hockey. Geno is lazy and making stupid plays. In regards to tonight. No bet for me because it's the freaking Leafs. Interesting between these 2. They play all 3 times in the next 15 days. Play next Tuesday in Pittsburgh and again on the 26th in Pittsburgh. Sid LOVES to play against Toronto. He averages over 1.4 points/gm in his career vs the Leafs. The Leafs have the better defensive numbers. If I was playing anything, it would be the under.

Wild/Kraken is an interesting matchup tonight...What's everyone's take on this one?
Kraken shut out Wild 4-0 8 days ago and since then the Wild got shut out by the Kings and then score 4 goals against the Ducks who give up the most goals in the league. I don't know that I'm comfortable saying the Wild have now found their offense and will come into Seattle and take down a Kraken team who have been playing consistent good hockey to start the year. Martin Jones has been great (surprisingly) and the defense has really tightened up over the last couple of weeks. Gut says Kraken win this one again...what am I missing??

Doesn't sound like you're missing anything. Good reasoning all around, but we know how that can end up...should just flipped a coin and avoided the brain-wracking lol. Seriously...watching the Wild @Ducks the other night and the Wild forecheck was amazing all night. Ducks couldn't breathe most of the game and we're just looking to dump the puck and catch a breather. So like it seems you're thinking, me too...I was figuring this would be the perfect spot to get on a heater...including the revenge angle.
Not saying it's not...but the ML is slowing circling the drain on the Wild side. Forget the -116 MIN open...unless the books want us to believe the next number (-135) was the big bucks coming from Minny. Since the -135 the line is dropping to -115 and the majority of the $$ is on Seattle, it makes me tap the brakes til later. I get that Kraken bucks are being used generously (70-60% - and the same 70-60% of tickets) by the Seattleites for exactly what you're saying...but the Wild side is still favored, giving Krakheads more reason to take the home team.
My very cloudy crystal ball is saying the books want to give the Wild side all the reason to think (like I did after the Ducks win) that this is the start of a Minny heater. So the heater won't start tonight is what I'm thinking as of 3:30 EST.
Phew...I feel so much better...I knew therapy was worth the money!!!
Cheers buddy
PS - No wager yet by me...just sayin'

K, just my 2 cents but I feel Seattle can hold there own against the Wild with the way they have both been playing. Goaltending even, GF/60 in favor of the Squids, GA/60 also favors Squid. I think the books got this one right (50-50 ish) so it's a no play for me Good luck with your decision

Great input guys, thank you. Sounds like we all agree the Kraken are the side in this one but none of us comfortable with the situation or the price to make a wager.
I will say my book now has Kraken ML at +105 (was at -105). It drops anymore and I might have to consider a sprinkle on that one.

I also feel a bit inadequate that I don'thave a wager going on Red Deer.
Leaning Bolts Stars & Kraken. Might play Reg and PL on Bolts & Stars, and ML & RL on Sea Monsters. No play on Loafs - I wouldn't bet rustie's money on that team. Just can't figure them out.

It's the Hall of Fame weekend here in Toronto. Borje Salming will be there with some other members tonight on the ice but will be honored on his own on Saturday when the Leafs play Vancouver. Salming is suffering from ALS and has lost his speech and has to be fed through a feeding tube. He is a hockey God in these parts so it will be very emotional to see him here in Toronto one last time. His family is hoping to get some medication here in Canada that he can't get back in Sweden to help with his pain. Hard to say if and how this will affect the game tonight but I guess time will tell. Salming is one of my all time favorite Leaf players. I will never forget when he received 250 stitches in his face when Gerard Gallant's skate ran over him.
You learn more from losing than winning. You learn how to keep going.

Thanks for the feedback Doc, I am like yourself I don't like to wager on my Leafs. #1. I don't trust them yet. #2. I don't trust myself to be objective. I will look into that Under though thanks
Hey Rustie,
Totally know what you and Doc are saying, buddy. I'm the same way...just can't get comfortable following my hometown NY Rangers for wagering. I'm like a coin flip probably 75% of the time, and usually the coin lies to me!!! Just can't get comfortable...and same with my Bronx Bombers who I've loved since Tony Kubek and Bobby Richardson!!!
Cheers to you and Doc (and all the degens here - including moi)

All the best, Huntman

Hey KMoore...the price isn't an issue...gonna be + money because the narrative has to remain Wild starting on a heater. Just waiting for the voting public and the %s lol.
