My state just legalized online wagering and all the casinos were offering grand opening deposit bonuses.  I took advantage and made deposits at a few sites. 

Betting on the NHL this year is a fools errand.  Empty arenas, musical chair lineups, and playing same teams over and over and over.  It's ridiculous.  However, its winter, its cold, I'm bored, and hockey is my favorite sport.  So I will take my deposit bonus from DraftKings and have a little freeroll fun.

Foolish parlays, chasing losses, and a lack of money management is what this thread is all about.

I’m not willing to tie up all my money into their rollover scams for a low 10% bonus. The higher the bonus = the higher the rollovers.

the rollovers are so weird......they will match your $200 dollar deposit but you need to wager $2000 on odds over 1.50 (if its rollover rate x5).......ridiculous lol

As for my bonus, DraftKings offered me a 50% bonus on my deposit in free bet credits.  You get to keep the winnings from your "free bets" (1x rollover on the winnings).  For example, I deposited $4k which gave me $2k in free bets.  I made 4 $500 bets.  I won 2 and lost 2.  My winnings from the 2 winners totaled $1139.  I won't touch my $4k deposit until NFL, meanwhile I get a nice freeroll on NHL.  Not sure how that is for "suckers" or a "scam".  

Lost both bets yesterday, with Jets still pending.

The Verdict is in ..Tough to judge the Canadiens for now. With a new coach behind the bench. I really was believing they would have a great year after the awesome start. 

Problem with Mtl is that they have a bunch of good forwards, but no great forwards.  Philip Danault can't be your #1 center.  Toffoli and Anderson got off to nice starts, but they will regress back to their career averages.  Look at it this way, name 1 Montreal forward that you would take over any one of Scheifele, Wheeler, Dubois, Connor, or Ehlers?
