All favorites will win their series in 1st round....

I think all favorites in the first round of the 2015 playoffs look REALLY strong on paper and i can MAXIMUM see 2 underdogs making it through, so betting on all 8 favorites will be profitable in the first round i believe, even when laying the chalk. The 8 teams i believe to make it through, i maximum see 2 of the following teams NOT to make it:


- Canadiens
- Capitals
- Blackhawks
- Canucks
- Rangers
- Lightning
- Blues
- Ducks

When is the last time the favorite won every series???? NO WAY that is happening, none zip.

who cares? Just because it doesnt happen every year doesnt mean it cant happen, and even if "just" 6 favs win their series u'll profit from it so why not give it a shot. I really love the favs this year, last year i was thinking more like 4-4 5-3 for the favs thats not what im thinking this year. Im looking at the matchups idgaf about the past years or anything like that or what "usually" happens. I believe a huge bunch of the favs are gonna pull out of the series as WINNER.

There are no under-dogs in the playoffs this year,regardless of what place a team finished in the regular season. For the most part we are talking about a difference of 5 wins. The East is more certain with the exception of Wash vs NYI.... In the West they are all a toss-up with the exception of Van vs Flames.

Perhaps if the Pens took out the Rangers that would be an upset. The 4 team parlay for me in 1st round will be Rangers/Tampa/Montreal/Vancouver.

Ok. Just bet on the dogs if u believe they have better chance of winning.

All the squares are all over dogs like ottawa and jets...

I actually think the Senators, Flames, Nashville and Minnesota could all upset (not claiming this is likely).  I think the Islanders WILL upset Washington.  So I actually only see 3 of the favourites that I really like as favourites -- TB, NYR and ANA, but I don't think any of them are nearly worth the price.  

If I were betting on any series, I would bet the 5 dogs I mentioned, and probably Tampa Bay -1.5 at +110.

But best of luck with whatever you choose.

agree. I can see at least three dogs with Senators, Wild and Flames and maybe even the Jets. the other four favs should roll

My dogs are Red wings, Senators, Flames, and Jets..... Wild go 7 and lose, Islanders go 7 and lose, Red wings go 7 and win... Rangers win in 5, all other series go 6... Best of luck, It's time to bring it up a notch and I like how teams finish a season... I got Rangers to win it all and I think one team is capable of taking them out,,, The Senators

that is VERY interesting. in my "bracketology" IF both the Rangers and Senators WIN 1st round they should face each other in the 2nd

Hi LeRinkRat,

That isn't actually possible, since the divisional realignment, the bracket is set with no re-seeding after rounds. They are actually now split into four groups of 1-4 seeds based on the divisions (bit like the NCAA tourney). Therefore Sens can only play Tampa or Detroit if they advance, likewise Rangers can only play Islanders or Caps.

interesting because the NHL's Playoffs page https://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=711015 says "Home-ice advantage through the first two rounds goes to the team that placed higher in the regular-season standings". some what confusing because of "wild cards". HOW do either the Flames or Canucks "stay within their division" IF the Jets were to beat the Ducks? BUT if true could set up for the Rangers vs Senators conference finals

I have sens futures , I have lots of mark stone rookie cards which are going up and up and up, I hate montreal...people forgot about montreal...

Too many reasons for the sens to lose....

There is 1 reason the Sens will lose if they do and it is Carey Price.  These are very evenly matched teams IMO.

All these series are pretty close only one I would be shocked about is if TB loses to Wings.  Every other series could go either way.
