@NYBartender I like the rags as well....sketchy game to touch tho. Agreed. Whole first month is literally a roulette wheel.
I won't be betting it and I'm torn over a predicted outcome. I would personally lean the Isles here which I hate to say but I think as a more veteran team the lack of a crowd maybe sways in their favor. The Blueshirts are young, have some guys making their first appearance so they could be very jittery. At first I figured lack of a energetic home crowd being behind them could hinder them, then I thought maybe it helps the young guys be less nervous...who knows. The Rags are interesting this year...could literally have waves of offense coming from three lines and all three defense pairings...biggest question is their team defense in front of Shesterkin. I love that they got rid of Lindy Ruff so that in itself should improve the defense and adding Jaques Martin was a big step up in my opinoon so I'm curious to see how he impacts the defense and penalty kill. They did however lose Fast who was by far and away their best defensive forward. Lot of questions. Just gonna sit back and enjoy it.

BOS -1/2 -130 Boston lost both Chara and Krug this off season, but I think they’ll still be ok with their top four, moving some guys up to get more earned minutes. Pastrnak will be out tonight but I don’t think it matters much as this Devils team doesn’t have much going for them right now outside of hoping for a leap from Jack Hughes. They still project as a bottom 5 teams when it’s all said and done.
CAR -1/2 -155 I wasn’t a believer in this team two years ago when they snuck up into relevance, but the fact is Rod Brind’Amour has instilled such a great work ethic in the young core it’s a delight to watch. They are a dominating puck control team, and they return pretty much the same exact roster as last year and added a Rangers favorite of mine in Jesper Fast. He’s a great glue guy who is very good defensively and on the PK unit will make a 4 ranked unit even better. That’s great news for a team that doesn’t really have elite goaltending. Detroit is another bottom feeder this year and the rebuild will continue—they have a nice top line but not much after that and the off-season addition of Greiss won’t do much. He had mediocre numbers playing in front of a much more disciplined Isles team last year. This season is going to shock him. Special teams could play a big role here and the Canes should run away with this one.
CAR to win by 3+ +180 *quarter unit*
VGK -1 ½ +105 I’ve been a big fan of Robin Lehner since Buffalo and he’s in a great spot here from a team perspective…adding Pietrangelo wasn’t bad in front of him also. Anaheim is going to be another of these bottom 5 teams I’m going against today with Vegas being a Cup threat. Like the other two bets above, not a lot of real research going into this.
3-team money line parlay
VGK -215, CAR -205, BOS -185
100/236
3-team puck line parlay
VGK -1 ½ +120, CAR -1 ½ +140, BOS -1 ½ +151
25/306
*The parlay lines might differ b/c I put them in late last night so just going by my pending bets on my site*
Good luck, everybody!

BUF +115 I forgot my Buffalo bet. Home dog action here. Like Pittsburgh I think Washington is on the down trend. Getting older, getting a bit slower. Same top 6 for the last few years and nothing wrong with that but they need some infusion of youth. Buffalo obviously made a huge splash with the Taylor Hall signing and the top line could be lethal and with what looks like some decent secondary scoring, I like Buffalo to continue trending up as it has the last four years…although in baby steps. I think the new top line could wreak havoc tonight against the Caps. We shall see.

Vegas -1/2 Gibson is quality and could keep it close , hopefully an late empty netter hits if you need it.
I,m not in love with Buffalo but wouldn’t be shocked. Like to see what Eichel & hall can muster up and if an aging Stall has anything left in the tank. Hopefully Skinner finds his way again.
I like Nashville tonight. They plucked Borowiecki from the Sens and he’s a mean SOB on the blueline and they already are stacked in that department.
I also putting a sprinkle on the Kings tonight as a home dog.

Gibson is a quality guy but even he shrunk under the pressure of that terrible team in front of him last year. I just think they get overwhelmed. Again, who knows this early what to make of anyone.
Skinner has to bounce back, you'd think.
Kings, huh? Interesting choice. Can't say I can speak much on either LAK or MIN at the moment so good luck with it!

I just think Washington is the better team overall, Buffalo didn't make enough moves for me to see improvement from them and even with Hall when a team signs a star player it very rarely has that big of an impact on a team especially in Buffalo's case where the team is a mess. There's no way I can put money on Hutton facing a hungry Washing Capitals out of the gate. Either way though BOL
Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Washington can be as hungry as they want, imo...that doesn't stop aging and slowing down. If you ask me who has better odds of making it into the playoffs I'm obviously going to say Washington but I think Buffalo has a chance at a dog payout here. All a gamble of course. Gotta sprinkle in some dog bets here and there.
My cable just went out and I cant watch my team. Im furious right no wlol

Be glad at the moment because they don't look too good. No defense.

@NYBartender Hey man not sure if this is against TOS. But use yoursports.stream it's the only site I've used for NHL/NFL in like the past 3 years
I have an IPTV service that I use and signed up for specifically for sports but for some reason it was down.
I then signed up for NHL.TV but my game was blacked out so I had to sign up for a VPN to unlock the local game. I got it to work...but wish I hadn't haha. Terrible game by NYR tonight

Not much thought process here. I like Philly for same reason I bet them opening night. Jarry didn’t look great and he’s back in tonight. Buffalo didn’t pan out but we’re back at it as a home dog with a different goaltending match up. I like Ullmark over Hutton from opening day. Caps starting a kid as far as I know—I’m at work. Tampa should do again what they did opening night and the Leafs, despite poor team defense should roll over Ottawa.
