Decided a bright idea would be to bet VGK -120 to win after the 1st period when it seemed out-shooting Arizona 16-6 would mean something going forward.

How I didn't break my phone, computer screen and office furniture is beyond me. Something smells in here also.
It's a regulation bet (maybe called 3 way on your site), so it's for the team to win in regulation. An overtime win would still be a loss.
In a sense you could say that about anything. These bets are based on numbers; a bad face off team versus a good faceoff team so why not, I figure.
So far I'm 10-3 on them so still in the early going of seeing how it goes.
A -1/2 puck line bet is regulation only. If it goes to OT...I'm screwed...and you're screwed if you're tailing me lol

CBJ -140 You have to like what the Isles have done so far this season, but I can tell you this, that success was built on not only the fact they were/are getting great goaltending but even more importantly that their defense was limiting teams to very few opportunities against. They were just a few weeks ago ranked near the top of the league in fewest chances allowed against. That has been slowly rising over the last few weeks and now they sit at a very average ranking of #18. That solid defense is what helped offset an offense that does next to nothing—creating more offensive chances than only the cross-town rival Rangers in the entire league. Want to know who sits inside that top 5 defensive metric the Isles were previously owning? Columbus does allow the 4 fewest chances against. The Jackets are also just outside the top ten in CorsiFor% and are inside the top 10 when it comes to FenwickFor% and they have home ice here as well. Don’t get me wrong, the Isles keep finding ways to win but the strain is becoming more and more on the shoulders of the goaltending. I like the home team here in a low scoring affair.
STL -145 We all know the Blues are red-hot so not much to say. Arizona holds an average offense and has to take aim at Jordan Binnington who has been superb this season going 10-1-1 with a .927 Save% and 1.82 GAA. What helps Binnington is something I mentioned in the above write-up and that is the Blues allow the fewest chances against. Their defense has been stifling and when a crack has appeared, both Binnington and Allen have been there to plug the rare hole.

CHI -1/2 -105 Chicago had its 7-game winning streak snapped its last time out, but to be honest, the streak isn’t as impressive as one might think. The Hawks weren’t running roughshod over elite teams over the course of their streak; they beat a badly slumping Caps team, BUF, MIN, EDM, DET, VAN and credit them for pulling out a 3-2 win over NYI. But good news is they play another mediocre team here and one that travels terribly so we can jump back on the tricky Hawks here on home ice.
NASH to win the opening faceoff -120 Preds are ranked #7 @51.4% versus Montreal who are ranked #28 @47.6%
TOR to win the opening faceoff -120 Toronto is ranked #2 @52.8% and the Knights are ranked #18 @49.4%. I’ve been trying to keep the discrepancies between teams around 20 or so in the rankings if possible but this one is still decent and looking at it more I’m expecting William Kaarlson (46.8%) to take the opening draw against Tavares (54.7%). But what makes the Leafs so good is there is hardly a drop off in all of their centermen. This is something I somewhat overlooked when I lost on a STL/NJD faceoff bet a few days back. The team faceoff % between the two was huge but the Devs quietly had Travis Zajac taking and winning draws for them at a 57.9% clip. I saw that but went STL anyway as I hoped Zajac simply wouldn’t be on the opening draw. He was. I lost.
SJS -156 Sharks are playing well. Both teams boast double digit team shooting percentages, but those high percentages will get a different amount of opportunities. The Caps allow the 3 most chances per game and against a team that shoots this well, it could be trouble. The Sharks meanwhile allow the 4 fewest chances per game so their defense should have a better time shutting down the traveling team. Caps are terrible in the face off circle and the Sharks are a dominant possession team ranking second in the league in both Corsi & Fenwick metrics.
SJS to win the opening faceoff -120 Sharks are ranked #11 @50.7% but the Caps are dead last @46.3%

Today: 4-4 Another mind blowing losing day on what, imo, was a very strong card. I had Columbus and San Jose as near locks to win these games. Similar to yesterday my passed leans on DET, COL, NASH, TOR all won which adds to the frustration. -$136.00
