NYI/VAN over 6 -111 This is literally the only bet worth backing on the board tonight. All the favorites are simply juiced up too high. PIT -180 at home against a tough road team with different back-up goalies in net for each is akin to picking a number in roulette, Dallas has been too inconsistent of late at home to warrant a line breaking into the two hundreds against anyone, TOR -175 on a 3-game losing streak, playing on the road without their best player against a Sabres team that has showed hints of life should also be a pass. Don’t get me wrong, people will play them because the betting public bets favorites 75% of the time and they certainly might win, but risk/reward says to stay away and I will. But, if you’re smart, you’ll pass on those and play this here: A normal line for a game that should be ripe with scoring chances on both ends of the ice. That said, those three probably win and this goes under.

CGY/BUF over 5 ½ -115 Mainly a fade on David Rittich, who has a .864 Save% and 4.40 GAA in his last six appearances. And Chad Johnson, who normally screws me can just go fcuk himself. Fade him out of principal.

PIT/PHL over 6 -107 Pens have scored 3 or more in 12 of their last 13 and 22 of their last 25. They also own the top-ranked Power Play which matches up against Philly’s close to bottom-ranked Penalty Kill unit (29). Petr Mrazek has come back down to Earth a lot by losing his last 3 games with a .854 Save% and 3.36 GAA.
