Looking like we will have three changes in the Philly lineup tonight. Martin five hole Jones will be seeking a fresh start on his hockey life and redemption along with it. He's had a very rough past couple of seasons but he will have a big upgrade in defensive talent in front of him. That defensive unit should be getting a big addition to it tonight in the form of big, aggressive, hard hitting Risto Ristolainen. Not confirmed yet but will know after morning skate 100%. He'll be paired with Travis Sanheim for the second unit. Assuming they stay healthy, when these six defenceman gel, dare I say they will be as solid as any defensive unit in the league.
Another notable face that has recently been added is Zack Mcewan, and it is looking like he too will make his Flyers debut. If Fredric dresses for Boston those two are fighting for sure. Both of these additions will increase the Flyers team aggression level quite a bit.
Swayman in the Bruins net is a stud and will be star in this league. The Flyers will need to get traffic in front of him and make him uncomfortable.
The biggest question mark in this game is obviously Mothafucka Jones (sorry I had to lol)
The Flyers know Jones needs his confidence rebuilt. He broke into the league with an abundance of talent and early success but his psyche was destroyed in San Jose. Look for the Flyers to try and protect him here.
I'll be on the road. If anyone gets official rosters for this game after morning skates, if you post them here it would be appreciated. As a fan I'm looking forward to this early season showdown between two old rivals that come from the same school of hockey ideology.
