idiots sutherland and furlat are the officials.

they are so terrible and they know it. last time they reffed looks like they let cold and dal just play hockey with little whistles

to get clues about a team all you have to do is join twitter and see how their fanbases like and dislike players

all year long oilers fans have a hate on ceci, brown, nurse, now u can add mcleod to the mix and sprinkles of warren foegele and when skinner 

is bad which is likely in this series they will jump down his throat as well.

the stars fanbase complains really about zero of their players.

edm has zero depth they are stuck with the above guys who are also turnover machines.

you can tell dallas' depth when one of their best hintz can be replaced without much loss in rythm

oilers will have one line adv. esp if they are behind in a game putting world class drai and mcdavid on a line with hyman. with that the pp is also an adv.

some might argue the pk is good but to me that is a fallacy when the canucks has a worse pp than the might ducks and blackhawks.

other than that all the checkmarks belong to dallas. goalie, overall d, depth, lines 2-4. 

imo attrition has reared for edm i am sure they are much more banged up than dallas is

 like i mentioned though. canucks have at least an avg pp and they likely would be playing dallas.

edm had 4 guys stacked at the blue line at entry. canucks brutal. they tried to skate in with speed. the

best thing to do is dump and chase, go in with speed and fish for the open puck. canucks pp prolly worse than 

all 5 bottom feeding teams in the nhl. so no i dont believe oilers pk is that good. pp yes for sure.

also if u are bettman conspiracy theorist. actually we all know he wants to promote game in usa and grow the market

then u cannot bet on any canadian team left

the way you've put it its almost like the oilers are an ahl team which they are not. no one is ever doomed in a conference final

Love the write up! I still think the Canucks who had Miller did an outstanding job checking McDavid. I think the Canucks are more physical than Dallas and they have huge dee and they punish you. Dallas is favoured and they are deep. They have the huge goaltending advantage no disagreeing there. I think if the Oilers can steal one in Dallas and get Henrique back healthy he makes them a lot better. This series to me can go either way because of the Oilers PP and they have the two best players on both teams. Now saying that I still see Dallas as the better over all team. It’s going to be a good series. I don’t expect McDavid to be average in another series. He scored one goal against the Canucks that’s how good of a job Miller did. I think he shows up and he shows the rest of the NHL why he is the best player on the planet. Should be a good series thou.

 no. not at all. look how many canucks have reported injuries. i mean van outhit them in all games except one or 2? doesnt matter

the canucks were the more physical team with bigger bodies. oilers have to have injuries by now. yes the 4 players i did mention though

except maybe nurse shouldnt be in the nhl

yes right too mcdavid likely gets loose as well.

then again van set the template on how to wear them down. benn will be physical for sure he might be the miller of this series?

Ok, I'm not saying you don't have good points or not....except:  Your measure of twitter discussion versus fanbases.  I could not disagree more.  Edmonton fan base for hockey is WAY (WAAAAY) more involved and educated in hockey than the Dallas fanbase.  You cannot compare these fanbases for any reason.  I am a long time north texas resident and your other considerations may be alright but toss this idea right out.

Yes the Oilers should be sick right now they drafted Bourgault at 22 and Johnson was next to Dallas at 23. He is a going to be a pure goal scorer for Dallas.

the dallas crowd didnt help the stars at all. they are boring and gives their team no energy,

dallas is not the team i expected. at least not tonight

Dallas has a seasonal history of sucking at home, this team has far better numbers on the road. They Lost opening round to Vegas ( games 1 and game 2 at home). Lost game 1 to Colorado in OT, and lost game 1 vs Edmonton in OT. They certainly had their chances last night vs Edmonton and could not execute. I expect a decent effort game 2 at home, but this team needs to make some adjustments or Edmonton will have their way. Hintz was a noticeable loss to the Stars, his size and speed down the middle will make a difference for them, also their defense is looking tired, I think they need Hakanpaa back soon...

The Oilers only had one PP. Dallas better figure it out. There is no way that happens again 5 PPs to 1 PP in a game. The Oilers PK is really giving them a lot of momentum. Skinner played well enough to win that’s all he has to do. He just has to make key saves. Oilers 4th line was good to. Carrick and Janmark played well. Now if they get Henrique back that’s huge. 

All I hear is fool. Your write up of game 1 made it seem oilers are just here because of they're stars! Glad you lost on Dallas
