.....many think we nucks fans are over confident. However, it appears there are many more on here that would take the Sharks. For many of you - it appears it is the Shark's destiny and might as well hand over the West Conf to Joe and the boys.
Even many of our supporters are taking the Cali team.
After game 2 i was extremely impressed with the sharks. Also at that time i said they are the team to beat.
for me hockey is an ever changing dynamic. i believe the pendulum has swung back to our side or in the middle
so let's see the numbers. what is the new board consensus. add a reason why if u like.

i like the sharks in this series! it will go 6 or 7 games but canucks have looked vulnerable many times in both series so far. sharks are using 3 lines effectively and getting production from different sources. if marleau gets on track they will be tough to stop. overall the sharks are built for the stanley cup this year vancouver needs to get the sedin line rolling to have any chance and i think it gets shut down once again by tight checking.
niemi advantage over luongo as well as lu will get rattled in some way. either way im laying money on the bruins and the sharks to reach the final

If the Canucks play up to their talent they should win. Enough of this box footing around protecting a 1 goal lead or waiting for a mistake.
They have a team that should take chances and trust the goalie will make a big save in case of a fuck up.
sharks will kill u if u try to hold on to a lead like that...look at all their comebacks this year. there is clearly no deficit the sharks feel like they cant come back from.
its all about matchups tho so im sure the strategy will change from vancouver. protecting a 1 goal lead vs nashville is different than protecting one vs sj

pretty decent w/u. yes if and a big if marleau gets going. at this point i think we have to eliminate the ifs- cuz if sedins were rolling- we wouldn't have this discussion cuz i know who would win. the d adv is vancouver. no one really knows our d men except us. ballard and alberts are healthy scratches right now and that justs shows the depth on defense. i am not a luongo fan but to me he is light years better than last year. don't forget kings shelled niemi and after that game the media were talking about a goaltending controversy. so i would not be too quick to say niemi has the edge. nucks led the season series 3-1 last game was a 5-4 ot thriller. that was the best game i have seen in years. if any of u can download it - whatever do it. it was a classic! one big thing that the sharks have ty is that jumbo joe seems to care. he is or has been a playoff choker. now that he has shed that label so far- that is what makes this matchup intriguing

If the Sedins play hide and seek for any of that series the Nucks are fucked. They need all hands on deck. I don't like that you have those two Swedes leading your team into deep waters. That would be my biggest concern as a Nucks fan.
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.

lol during the chi series in another forum a guy from illinois asked me which sedin u like better and i answered back -kesler! i bring this topic up in part cuz to me it appears that the sedins are cycling in the off zone. if they continue to do that it will take time of possession out of sharks hands. at this point even the sedins have to acknowledge it is being led by american born kesler. ur right though i typically don't like any euro being the best player(s) on my team

Kesler is playing like a beast and Burrows is doing his part for sure. I am curious to see how the Sedins reaspond because you know the Bruins are going to target them to try and make them shy.

that would be very smart of the bruins to do that- if the bruins are in and if they do play van. i don't know lots about the lightning but i think someone should start a discussion on that game. i like everyone else think boston, but maybe we are to quick to prejudge?

Said the exact same thing to my buddy after the games last night. Everyone including myself is pretty much assuming Boston is going to beat Tampa which is starting to make me wonder now. We know it's never quite that simple.

I hope the board is full of sharks supporters.. Just gives us a better price/feeling when betting Canucks..
if u read around the forum and b4 the playoffs began
there are tons of overconfident shark supporters. most of course from cali. by population on this forum i would think our 'small hamlet of a community in van' is dwarfed by pro sharks!
