ya I'm stoked for this....I'm sure we'll hear soon where he gets traded, probably by tomorrow and with the B's scratching their prospects then I'm sure he will go there.

Things are starting to get interesting in the east... Imagine a Pitts VS Boston in the playoffs, Crosby VS Iggy

I think Iginla would be deadly on the Bruins...stuck on a shitty flames team for years,he could make a real mess with the talent around him on the Bruins.

Iginla is a very good player but I don't see anything new this team doesn't already have. When you trade it's to bring something your teams in need of...so what does he have the Bruins don't? He'll fit right in to the Bs grind-it-out, physical type of game. Don't get me wrong it'll help but it isn't the answer, ths team needs sum1 who can score 30. Iginla would've been good for this club if he was 5 years younger, maybe I'm wrong but I can see this turning into another Kovalchuk type trade. Iginla would be a better fit in San Jose or even Detroit, don't trip when absolutely nothing changes for Boston if'n he goes there...

the kings are the perfect fit IMO, if they don't pull the trigger and send bernier back the other way with a 1st and a prospect it would be a shame.

they are set up so well for a B2B cup run and i believe would be easily favoured over the hawks or the ducks because of their player depth and goaltending.

Hey Boo good to see you buddy

Don't mind the deal if that's all Calgary is getting. Of course Iggy isn't in his prime anymore but this guy is burnt out from carrying that team on his back all those years. He won't have to do that in BOS. Honestly a change of scenery is what he needs IMO.

Agree. Wherever he is dealt...he will be re-energized IMHO by the chance to have a legitimate shot at a deep Cup run and maybe even a chance to lift the holy grail. With his grit and toughness he would fit in nicely on the B's and we all know he can put the puck in the net.

Flames got fleeced lol what a pathetic organization

We will see what iggy brings to boston this isnt like when hossa went to pens and we expected them in the finals...just my opinion...maybe change of scenery will help

I think Boston won this deal, it seems like the first round pick is just a conditional pick.... which means Iggy has to resign with Boston for Calgary to keep the pick. They did get prospects but they weren't any top players by any means.

 It's gonna be interesting to see in the off-season if he resigns with the B's so Calgary gets the pick or if he goes back to the Flames. Anyways this news is great to hear right now

I think the Flames GM is a joke seriously... they coulda gotten better prospects and a higher draft pick other then the bruins!
