Luongo says it's time to move on.

Gillis should be in no hurry to trade bobby lou.  At some point in the season a team will be desperate for a goalie and will take a chance on him.  The media is constantly mentioning Florida and Toronto, but there's a problem with both of them.  Luongo would prefer Florida because no one would ever recognize him (maybe his wife) and there would be no pressure on him.  But they can't afford him.  The loafs can afford his contract, but there would be Vancouver pressure on him X 10.  The same goes for the Hawks.  As soon as he has a bad game, the media would tear him a new one.  Maybe Columbust should sign him as it might help them create an identity.  

I could see the Hawks for sure, but Stan Bowman has already demostrated they think they don't need a goaltender.  Hell look what they have done in the off-season. D Sheldon Brookbank, yeah he made offers to Parise and Suter, but rumor was that it wasn't even close to what the Wild offered. 

Crawford (48th rank GAA) and Emery (52nd rank GAA), two above average but not great goaltenders.  Unless the Hawks can score at least 3 goals every game they will do the same playoff dance and out after a round or two.

Theodore has no say in anything, anyways if we do have to take his contract to make the deal it's only 1 yr at 1.5 mil, not a bad idea to have him around to start 25 games or so. I'm not sold on the idea of Eddie Lack as backup.

It is a longshot, but I think it makes sense. Maybe the Canucks add a player/pick, etc. Luongo would have to agree to Columbus and that would be the biggest factor. Look at the Blue Jackets goalies - Bobrovsky (remember his last game 10-3 in the playoffs vs. Pens - let in 5 on 18 shots), Steve Mason - I wouldn't trust this guy to be #1, maybe a good backup, Curtis Sanford? Luongo is not at the end of the road; he's 33. Still atleast 5 years in him. Columbus would have a star goalie. For the Canucks, Nash with the Sedins could potentially be the best line we've seen in years.

Actually fuck Rick Nash, we don't need him or his 7.5 mil cap hit, Burrows is fine on the Twins line, out of the countless wingers that have played on that line Alex was the only one that has some chemistry with the Twins, the only thing that we need to do is upgrade the bottom half of the roster, a shutdown 3rd line center would be huge.

On the Lou thing i don't think he gets moved untill the new cba gets done, under the current rules that contract counts against the cap if he plays it out or not, that's a big risk for a high revenue team.
