Minnesota Wild ML or TT Over?

The Wild return home for game three tomorrow night against the Black Hawks and home couldn't smell any better following a pair of road losses in the Windy City. It's almost a cliché 'must win' scenario tomorrow and I'm curious to know which play is the more attractive and potential winner from a Wild side: Is the better wager on the Minnesota Wild team total over 2.5 or simply on the Wild moneyline at -145? Anyone care to offer their opinion on these two wagers?

i would NOT fool with either BUT think more likely Crawford comes unstuck and lets in 3 goals than the Wild win the game. looks like Mike Yeo finally wore Dubnyk out playing every game. he looked shaky the first two games in Chicago

Doesn't seem likely but they are just begging you to....allowed me to cover my series bet by only giving up 25% of winnings in case the 14% chance of a comeback (figure courtesy of Mr. Lippsman) comes through.

Highest I'm finding them is +350, and can't believe that the way they played Games 1 & 2 that they're -145 for tomorrow nights game As much as I'm behind them, they haven't shown me anything in this Series that gives me comfort in that juice.

hmm yeah I was expecting something around -135, knowing that its a must win situation for the wild, but -144 is shocking...I guess it goes back to the Hawks history with this core too, they have done a solid job of pissing away game 3s.

There's that word lock. I know it's the NBA but the rockets were a lock too with Chris Paul being out. Well, that didn't work too well....they lost by 16 at home. Nothing is a lock even when you'd think the wild have to have this one. Nothing would surprise me tomorrow.....

Ok so i lost a pick it happens had a very bad night betting tonight. S hit happens... I just feel like the hawks are a way better team and it showed in games 1 and 2 and it should carry on to game 3...Its my money ill bet what i want and you can bet what you want.

I like 'em both.

Crawford looked good last game, but he's been inconsistent in the playoffs.

Wild ml looks good, too.    In last year's playoffs, Hawks won the first two @ home, then lost games 3 & 4 in Minny.   Overall, Hawks are 2-5 in last 7 games as visitors vs Wild.

I think the Wild will win a game or two, at least.     In the Hawks last 17 playoff series, they've only swept one team (the Sharks, several years ago)

I agree.  This is a great spot for the Wild to get back into the series but I was looking for -120 or so like the Caps were yesterday (and they came home even not down 0-2)  

There is some justification however for this line if we look back to last year.  Hawks pretty much had an easy go of it against these same Wild in Games 1 & 2 of Conf Semi's winning 5-2 & 4-1 respectively on home ice.  In games 3 & 4 at the Excel Center however they were absolutely drilled losing 4-0 & 4-2.  I don't feel the Hawks will be heading up to Minnyhaha with their guard down this year (especially against a much better/deeper Wild team) but it does give some credence to the higher juice.  

As a lifelong Hawks fan I hate betting against them but I think the Wild are the right side.  Excel will be absolutely rocking and I think we see the Wild play a lot faster and with way more aggression than in last 2 games.  They will force the Hawks into stupid penalties and their PP we saw in the 1st round will be clicking tonight.  You just don't have the same fortitude playing with a 2-0 lead than you do with your back up against the wall.  Parise and Dubnyk will shine

Big onion, I have to agree with you. The hawks are the better team in my eyes, I've said it all along but the wild have heart and  they play pretty well at home in the playoffs. If there is a game to bet on, it's this one tonite for the wild. I hate doing it but I may have to. I said last nite that nothing would surprise me but if the hawks went up 3-0, I'd be a bit surprised. If they lose I'm ok but I hope Crawford stays strong only letting in maybe 3 at the most. If it's 4 or 5, then all of the sudden we have a series. Originally I was gonna sit this one out, but if the price is right, I may have play a situational bet on Minny. Lots of time though till puck drop. Onion, you gonna place that bet then on Minny?

Sco316 - yes I have to be smart and bet without emotion.  If the Hawks win I'll be happy but if the Wild win I'll make some coin and we will still be in control.

William Hill Las Vegas with Wild +425 series odds Tuesday May 5th before game 3 @ Minnesota. worth a "sprinkle" IF you think they can win both at home to even the series

Can't believe my Books still at +350. For that reason, I may open another Book today. Someone said BetUS isn't taking U.S. players. Sounds like 5 Dimes may be way to go. Any suggestions good, bad or indifferent?

Thanks for all the feedback and valuable information fellows. Everything posted by everyone is most appreciated. I'm leaning to the tt over as opposed to the Wild side only because I think they score at least three goals, win or lose this game.

Oh-Oh!

I know it's only 1-0, but it's been that way since there were roughly six minutes to go way back in the first period. Maybe, just maybe a Wild victory is still a possibility but the bloody team total might very well be toast. I would never have guessed this scoreless pair of periods on home ice for Minnesota-never. Credit to the Hawks who are playing a sound road game. The Wild have a mere twenty minutes to break through on home ice in order to salvage their season. Pick it up for fick sakes|
