How much money did Sports Books pay the Washington Capitals to Lose On Purpose to the Anaheim Ducks. NHL is Trash and Games are clearly being fixed. Look at previous Stanley Cup winners such as Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Tampa Bay Lightning, Carolina Hurricanes, Anaheim Ducks, and LA Kings all were given Stanley Cups so the league could make more money. Why is there 3 hockey teams in California? What a garbage sport almost as bad as the NBA Entertainment League.

Ducks have played well with the kid in net last two games and since the coaching change (I know Miller played). Caps haven&#x27;t played well since 2018. They&#x27;ve only won 8 of 22 games since the calendar flipped and despite the big win over San Jose, its a game that seems to be the anomaly for them at the moment...plus you have to factor in a huge let down after that big road win.&#xA;Why 3 teams in Cali? Same reason we have 3 in NY. Big enough state to do so and gigantic market for them.

Not commenting on this thread in general but in response only to your statement. Nothing could be further from the truth. With the parity in sports it is extremely easy for referees to tilt the balance to whichever team they choose should that be something that is happening. Very, very easy for referees or umpires to fix a game for any league should that be desired.

Then you either haven&#x27;t watched very much NHL hockey in your life or you simple are not very astute when it comes to noticing the things within those games. The NHL has had MUCH worse and blatantly obvious injustices happen with refereeing than anything in those videos you just posted. I have posted countless numbers of them on here over the years. But again was just responding to your statement of how hard it would be to fix a game for a team. This answer without a doubt is not hard at all. The refs should they desire can do this very easily.

Refs are paid by the leagues in which leagues have certain interests to gain profit and increase audience/fans investment.

Is there a committee for referee fairness and oversight in any sports? No, because its not really sports, its entertainment. All the players, coaches, owners, etc know it. In the end everyone wins whether on the best or worst team.

With gambling coming into sports, US legal that is. The Refs are going to be under a major microscope now. It will be quite difficult but not impossible to get a corrupt one. Once the books look at an influx of action on a the league will be notified and will be made public.

Because that is the weakest link....the lowest paid employees of the league

If they truly had a justified hand then certain teams and certain star players would not consistently have a different umbrella of rules to platy under. A few examples would be, you can&#x27;t breath on lebron, couldn&#x27;t touch jordan or kobe, their teams get and got a huge unfair advantage because of that preferential treatment. You can&#x27;t breath on tom brady but yet cam newton routinely is the victim of brutal head shots, facemasks etc all of which happen without penalty. Sidney crosby is another no touch guy, yet he can do just about whatever he wants, slew foots, trips, all kinds of dirty play from him, it all goes on without penalty for the most part. Could go on and on naming stars and teams that have gotten and get preferential treatment therefore making things unfair from a competition standpoint. He is saying these committees are fugazis, to which I personally agree.

Why was Tom Wilson, a numerous repeat offender of head shots causing serious injury, allowed to seriously hurt two players in last seasons playoffs without anything being done, until finally when a third player was seriously injured and knocked out of the playoffs from a third head shot was he forced to miss a few games but by then the penguins were down two players for the series already. Wilson should have been suspended in the first round when he charged and launched himself at the head of a Columbus player, causing serious head injury and knocking him out of the playoffs, so why the choice to allow it? When leagues do this kind of stuff they bring these questions unto themselves. As an observer it looked obvious to me that the league was favoring the Capitals through the playoffs last season and for that reason I ended up betting a lot of money on them as the playoffs went along and made myself a lot of money off of that thought process.

One of the main things they are supposedly trying to stop right now is the brain damage being done to players yet such actions are often allowed. These are not missed plays or bad calls these are very obvious plays that are plainly seen by all of us and the refs alike so why are they not made in certain situations? Situations like the vicious head shot laid upon the Saints player during that now infamous no call. Gary Cavaletto is that thugs name that was just feet from the hit and ordered another official to stuff the flag back into his pocket. He has been scrutinized before for shady favoritism yet here he was working a massive NFL game. If there was any real committee for fairness...lol, sorry it makes me giggle just typing that...then a piece of crap like that guy should not have that job let alone would not have been working such a pivotal game for the league.

They bring all these questions upon themselves with their constant shady bullshittt.......

Yes I recall it well. Disgustingly filthy and dangerous play. He has gotten away with that kind of stuff his entire career because he is the one they chose to market the game around just like the nba chose jordan to be the one the marketed their league around to make it grow.
