NYI @ OTT 11/7 Discussion

 Quick glance at their schedules so far this evening i notice:

OTT lost on the road to BUF this past Tuesday night. 

OTT is 5-1 at home this season

OTT has only lost 2 in row once this year. Every other loss has been followed up by a win. 

OTT on one day or less rest after a loss are 3-0 when playing at home.  

OTT has not played in an OT game this year at all. REG bet at +105 pm BET365 which is not great odds for REG win considering OTT is a pretty heavy fave IMO at -150. 

Trends say OTT should follow up that loss with a win at home. 

OTT injuries are not terrible right now. 

NYI won in a SO against PIT in the game this past Tuesday night. 

NYI 3-3-1 on the road this season

NYI when playing on 1 day or less rest on the road are 2-3

NYI have played in 4 OT this season, losing two of them (1H/1A) and winning two in a SO, both SO wins coming on home ice. 

NYI have not won B2B games this season yet. 

NYI Lost the game after their last SO win

NYI injuries are piling up, missing 3 D men and some key front men as well. 

Forsberg should be in Net and has played well for OTT 3-2-0 with a 0.910 SV%. IF Varlamov is in net for NYI, he is 1-3-1 with a 0.876 SV%, My money would be on OTT at home in REG or a no play. Goalies will be interesting to see who is in net. Obviously these are just trends, but looking at the similar trend lines OTT should win the game at home. Look forward to hearing any other thoughts! 

Looking forward to everyone jumping in on this discussion. Happy to discuss any game folks find of interest. TIP requested this one so that is why I started it on this thread.  The more we do this as a group the more we can learn. Not everyone will win because we will all interpret the information differently, but winning is definitely better when we win together! Cheers

Outstanding and thank you triplee! I had written down on my notepad to play Ottawa “tie no bet.” Which is exactly what you propose in your analysis. I have a feeling things are going to go Ottawa’s way tomorrow night.

well shit. NYI showed up to play tonight. OTT may drop 2 in a row first time this season. Hopefully they get up and drop some quick goals in the third. 3 of em at least. 

Well if they hadnt let NYI score that third one early id feel a lot better about the REG time play. It’s certainly possible to see two goals in 5 minutes but that would be some crazy shit wow… ?????

 Nah. Just early in the season. Need TAM to get it done in REG!

OK Need Jets to get some damn goals. no more of this one goal game BS to prevent REG finishes.
