YTD: 23-14 (+$6,500) Big Plays: 10-1 (5* or Higher)
I'm in Germany for work and I had planned to take a few days off until I returned home but I see a unique spot with my favorite team that I have to play. Because I'm doing something tonight I've only done five other times in 20 years, I figured it was worth coming on and posting for those interested. I've won 10 big plays in a row so if that streak finally comes to an end, I guess it's fitting the team that ends it is the Blues.
San Jose Sharks +135 (5*)
I've only bet against the Blues five times in my life, going 4-1 in those games. Actually, I rarely bet Blues games at all, choosing instead just to watch them. However, this game fits my situational betting patterns so strongly I have to throw 5 units on the Sharks. If you watched the Vancouver/St. Louis game you saw a game with playoff intensity. I personally thought it was the best win of the year for the Blues. They really put it all on the line in Vancouver and as a rule I like to bet against teams the next time out in that situation if things line up right. On the other side the struggling Sharks finally got some time off to recharge their batteries and rest. Not just physically but mentally, which I think is even more important. San Jose is a desperate team right now and in my opinion they are getting the Blues at the exact right time. On the surface people will say St. Louis is playing well and they are right but if you look into it a little deeper this is a bad spot for the Blues coming off the physical game in Vancouver. And while Jake Allen has given the Blues a chance to win he hasn't shut teams down (2.77 GAA). My gut tells me the Sharks finally break out offensively and get the win tonight. In all honesty I hope it goes into OT or a shootout so the Blues grab a point but I actually think San Jose wins this game pretty easily. I won't be able to watch it, so if you're on the Sharks tonight, root it home.
Good luck with your plays everyone.

Yes sir. Hot Garbage is like E.F. Hutton. When he talks I listen. He is hitting over 90% of his big plays. Until that changes you have to be crazy not to follow this guy. BOL tonight

I'm with ya HotGarbage. Hate betting against my Blues, but I think this is a gift to us gamblers.
Blues also got into Lambert this morning at 6:33am after a 15 hour delay. Guessing practice will be cancelled and prep for the Sharks will be miniscule. Sharks are recharged, rested, and dare I say pissed off? Joe Thornton fought Jonathan Toews last game to get this team's emotion up and going. Jake Allen also gets his last start for a while tonight.
Lots of things adding up for an unfortunate Sharks victory.

if sharks lose this one, i back off them for a while,
lets not forget St. Louis in Colorado tommorow nite
That late nite flight in this morning from Vancover, i would think is
weighing on the blues, tied tired tired ...just my 2 cents..
Good point. The odds are the Sharks are going to win soon. They are too talented to keep losing every night. I agree even if they lose tonight we have to keep betting them now.
