Thank you to you all for the kind words, all... I am just speaking from the gut. When you see the beauty and brilliance of a game like hockey, but live in an area where so few people follow the game, it makes you feel like you are speaking a secret code when you meet someone who IS actually into the game. I work with a couple of Red Wing fans and every time we see each other, we talk puck. Funny, since we should hate each others' team, but there is a mutual respect.
I noticed one comment in this thread making fun of the fact that I called Hockey the best game on the planet. I will stick by that. Argue all you want OneManDynasty, but your username indicates that you are more a fan of individual sports than team sports, right? Well then Hockey won't make much sense to you, I guess. But that's, OK. I mean, granted, I understand that it is just an opinion, but it is the attitude that it somehow laughable for someone to claim Hockey as the best sport that really gets to me. I realize the talent that it takes to play sports such as Basketball and I even played Basketball in High School, but now when I try to watch it, and they are calling fouls for barely tapping another player and players are sitting out because of a hangnail, I just long for the caliber of game where Selanne got literally stitched up (6 stitches) on the bench during a playoff game and only missed 2 shifts before he was back out there. Does that mean I make fun of basketball? Nope. Or laugh at you if it is, in your opinion, the best game on the planet? Nope. I just happen to appreciate hockey a bit more. (Oh, and by the way, I love Baseball, Soccer, Billiards, Poker and Curling too... is that OK with you?)
Oh and TdotCapper... you say that my Ducks won't make the playoffs? You may be right, especially since the strange subtle moves that they have made latley are questionable, but you have to admit that they are climbing back into contention, right? We'll see... either way, I will be watching.... I think that they have a chance, but I admit that I am a fan and probably a bit biased.
Thanks again my fellow puck fans... for your support.
