Okay guys...so I kind of banned myself by mistake.

Unfortunately, it wiped out the little discussion on playoff goalies. So I will do the recap and we can go from there.

Your starting goalies are likely to be:

Chi: Crawford
Nsh: Rinne
StL: Elliott
Min: Dubnyk
Ana: Andersen
Wpg: Pavelec
Van: Miller
Cgy: Hiller
Mtl: Price
Ott: Hammond
Det: Howard
TB: Bishop
NY: Lundqvist
Pit: Fleury
Wsh: Holtby
NY: Halak

And, as we've seen in prior years, if a goalie falters, we're likely to see a few coaches go to their backup if a series gets to 2-0 or 3-0.

Now...discuss...

And here's my reply to BWS suggesting that Howard would be the first to be replaced...

Mrazek has definitely proven himself. Others that I could see being replaced if they falter...Hammond, Andersen, Hiller, Bishop, Lundqvist, Halak, Miller, Pavelec.

My guess is it's a pretty safe bet that Rinne, Dubnyk, Holtby, Fleury, and Price will play the entire series regardless of how they do. Honestly don't think that Hutton, Kuemper, Peters, Greiss or Tokarski are viable options.

Elliott/Allen and Crawford/Darling are the tandems that I'm on the fence about.

Given how Miller looked last night, Lack will probably get the nod for VAN

Yup.

So far, in my 6 years as a mod, I've boxed myself once, banned badlands once, and now banned myself once. Oh...can't forget when my baby daughter clicked on my mouse and banned shrimp.

Guess one becomes a big bumbling idiot when three little kids are yakking in one's ear constantly.

Haven't bet on hockey in about a week. Perhaps the withdrawal is getting to me.

I was trying to figure out your cover error and was surprised to see nothing about your banning in any forum,even the PB had nothing,but then I ended up reading the saga about CG for about 45 mins.
I have to blame you for a wasted 45 mins of my day,but when its over 400 pages it takes a bit of time to figure out what is going on,actually a sad story is what I ended up thinking.
Hope to see your plays again when your un-banned,lol.

btw, I'm pretty sure Hitch said this week that he was riding the hot hand, ie Jake Allen, for the playoffs.  I don't have the link but I heard it on the radio.  If I'm wrong for some odd reason, I apologize in advance...

as I stated in the other "banned" thread, I really can NOT understand Babcock starting Howard over Mrazek with both goalies recent records and stats

Elliott/Allen have been "1-1A" all season for Hitchcock. also think Coach Q will be quick on the trigger IF "The Crawfish" gets boiled early. "Darlin' Darling" been the better of the two lately

Given how Miller looked last night, Lack will probably get the nod for VAN

VERY possible. Lack carrying the load since late February although he has been "lit up" more than a few times lately too. with either one vs probable Hiller for "CC's", could be "oodles of overs" in that series

Miller is Vancouver's guy. They're no way I can see them going to Lack unless the Flames go up 2-0 or 3-0 in the series.

And the thing with Detroit is I think Howard will be on a very short leash. In other words, 2-0 or 3-1 for Tampa and we're sure to see Mrazek.

Mods have options below every poster's avatar in each thread. I was going to ban one user that had a post right above mine, and banned myself instead.

Lack will start game one. Period.

 

 

Hes 920% and 1.90gaa since miller went down. They want to win  NOW,not appease a 37 year old past his prime goalie. Yes hes making 6 mill this year and next but money means nothing to ownership and management. Its all about winning in this market.

Yup. Certain mods/CT have special abilities to do so. Regardless, if I banned myself, there's no way I could UNban myself. Someone else has already done it but it doesn't come into effect until midnight.
