wow just wow - the canucks are fucked as an organization.

tell your players to stop taking stupid penatlies and acting like bad asses and maybe they'll win games.

Schneider is not the answer - and you're just alienating your franchise goalie you signed for wayyyy too long and paid wayy too much to.

Agreed, only reason Schneids is in to to try and get ahold of these players and shake em up. for once Lou hasn't been the reason for a collapse.

I think Schneider is a 1A not a backup. Luongo has been OK but he is doing nothing spectacular. This is a good move to shake up the team.

Clepto you are always wrong. Making the goalie the scapegoat in this case sends the message that you don't hold your team accountable for the losses when they clearly are, which will only lead them to believe they are playing the right way. Not to mention every one knows about lous contract and how no team will take it.

I'm right and you're wrong bro. Canucks win tonight and comeback to win the series. Luongo never plays another game as a Canuck and will be in Toronto next season.

Why do you bring up Lou's contract? That means nothing, starting Scheinder is the right thind to do, Lou does have a habit of getting frustrated and losing focus, AV learned his lesson pushing Lou last year in the finals when we got killed in Boston.

what if it doesnt shake up the team though? then what are you gonna do go back to Lou and expect him to save you ass down 3-0 in the first round.

Clepto like i said you're never right, also i dont even think toronto will take that stupidly huge contract. the canucks shopped him so much in the off season no one would take the contract.

If anything the might trade schneider as they are likely to get more for him and more teams are apt to take him who are young and dont have a solid netminder.

The timing seems odd to me because Luongo IS NOT the reason they lost the first two games. He was actually pretty decent.

At this point the change is being made for a spark and watching both goalies down the stretch Schneider has shown the ability to steal a game moreso than Luongo.

Luongo doesn't deserve any blame for being down 0-2. He is just the one that will pay because that's the only change that can be made. Their PP needs work, so let's see how the Nucks fixed that during the days off.

The Contract is just $$$. It's structured as such that the Cap hit isn't what people think. Who has nothing but $$$, is desperate, and needs a Veteran goalie...TORONTO.

Unless Kipper becomes available. LU will be in TO next season.

Lou is not an ego driven selfish player, he'll do what's best for the team, also on Lou's contract their are escape clauses in year 5.

I cant stand lou and still dont think its his fault.  Schneider is more than capable of winning on the road.

It will all depend on how he does tonight.  They win he keeps starting.  Then maybe they use him as good trade bait.

But I'm with Boo, he's a 1A goaltender to me.  Personally I think he should ask for a trade in the off season

dude you've said the Canucks were gonna win the stanley cup for what 3 years now. We'll see what happens in the Offseason. Canucks have a solid up and comer in lack - they don't need to keep schneider around and he has shown the ability to be a starter but to be honest the sample size is small - i think they have an easier time getting rid of him then lou though. I still see them shopping lou but if no one picks him up they might shop schneider and pull in lack as the backup to lou

Also while it hasn't been mentioned if the Nucks do get swept, shit will hit the fan and hit it hard, which will likely cost AV his job.
