i really don't understand peoples fustration with the refs, there haven been 6 penalites, 4 of them were legitmate. Two were bogus, Bertuzzi's and Heatley's. I am going to lose my Wings ml bet but it is not because of the refs, it is because the wings have been undiscplined in this period.

Its not always the penalties that are called...often its the ones that are not. During that 5-3 there were 2 interference calls that should have been called but were not. One of a face-off and the other when the wings chipped out of their zone.

I agree that most of the calls in the 3rd were legit. But those 2 interference calls that were not made are the ones that piss me off

Isn't that four 5 on 3's the Sharks have been given in the 3rd period over the last two games? Wings had some stupid penalties, but the Sharks do A LOT of diving!  I've never seen professional hockey players go down so easy. The story of this game will be the officiating. Oh well, I still feel very confident the Wings will win this series (unless there is more of what we saw tonight)

One last thought...The Sharks wre basically given 1 full period of Power Play. That's CRAP!!!

Another display of brutal calls by brutal refs! Watson and Pollock terrible refs. They called 7 penalties in the first 2 period of the game. Then the 3rd they called 7 alone in a playoff game how is that.

oh... AND...

ya the Wings took a bunch of bad penalties, but there have been at least a half dozen in this series against the wings that have no merit whatsoever.

it has been these prolonged 5 on 3 chances that have dictated the outcomes of both games so far... and 3 of the 4 penalties that created these game-changing situations were completely BOGUS
