I think so GA. I was not in favor of firing Bruce Cassidy 2 seasons ago because the players ( deBrusk ) were whining and crying about ice time. That being said...I don't really blame Montgomery. Sweeney is a horrid GM IMO. He lets character guys like Bertuzzi walk for cheap money and then fucks up the goaltending situation.

That being said...there are too many soft Euros on this team that play well when times are good but don't go to the net and into the dirty areas. Hampus Lindholm...Pastrnak and Elias Lindholm all fit in that category to me.

Also...Marchand has not shown he can be a leader worthy of the "C" and rally the troops. They have no fight and are listliss. They need to fire Monty not really because its his fault but because the team has quit. Bring in the hardest coach you can and beat these guys down like you would do in boot camp to get them to realize it is not about the one but the unit. 

I am beyond pissed. Funny you posted this because my buddy sent me a link for tickets in the Loge 5 rows back going for 69 dollars right before game time.

look on the right side ,at least we will get a good spot in the draft lottery . This team reminds me the year Steve jasper coached the bruins to last place . The next season we got the #1 draft pick  ( Joe Thornton ) and # 8 (Sergei Samsonov ). As bad as don Sweeney is he isn’t as bad as  Mike O’Connell was . He traded Thornton to San Jose Marco storm and Brad Stuart . Ugg.

Coach wil be gone soon....he's been tuned out....bye the way things are also not good in Vancouver and Edmonton....Miller's out on indefinite leave of absence...basically their number 1 leader and motivator and McDavid s Oilers lack of secondary scoring non existant....Oilers D is very thin also...Bowman has started a downward spiral as new GM ...the loss of Broberg,Ceci,Desharnais and now Nurse out gonna be challenging, when you have 4th liners playing with Draisatel and the additions of Ardvison and Skinner underperforming a true recipe for regression...not to say Hyman and Nugent Hopkins not contributing...McDavid is gonna lose his shit....Boston,Canucks, Oilers all gonna struggle next little while...Cheers 

Some folks seem to have had their wish fulfilled, as the Bruins did fire Jim Montgomery today.

Contrary to those perceptions, this now qualifies as 'good news' ... as far as for the other contending teams in the Eastern Conference are concerned.

Merely elevating Joe Sacco to the head coach position is not the cure-all for what currently ails their team.
