So I have a hundo left in my DK account. I never want to use DK ever again. Have not watched 1 NHL game this year. Used to be a huge hockey head. Just drifted away from main stream sports and have focused more on horses. These are current odds I see.

To me right now, it's Panthers or Jets.  Panthers got a big chip on shoulder after Vegas kicked their ass last year.  Jets are a lot like Carolina depth wise (4 solid lines) but they have better pure goal scorers in their top 6.  And they also have Helly who can steal a series, and Brossoit is a decent backup.  Both are in a good position to grab their Conf title and face W/C 1st round, but that don't matter much in hockey.

Stay clear of all the Canadian teams unless you want to break your television set when they get screwed over with bad calls if they get anywhere near the cup. The Panthers are a good choice in my opinion and it’s already your gut feel so go with it. 

Let's not forget about Rangers 

Looked at who the Panthers beat vs good teams they struggled against in their div and conference. They seem to have struggles with the Bruins. How does Bob look this year? I know he is battle tested but can he deal with the depth that the Burins can throw at him if it came down to a div final.

When you look at Florida. Their offense is slightly above league average. Defense ranks at the top just under Jets. Jets rank below league avg in offense. I know stats mean nothing in reg season. The real good teams rear their heads in the playoffs which is a different animal. Vancouver seems to be the most complete on both sides of the ice when you look at Off and Def rankings according to Odds shark. Top 3 in offense Top 4 in defense. Demko seems to be a brick wall when i look at his numbers. I am now leaning Vancouver. at +1200. But will the NHL allow that? Does that help a sport craving for TV ratings. Seems like NHL would rather have teams from bigger markets in. Hard to imagine a Canadian team winning since its been like when I graduated High School when Canadians won. That its cray to think about. Maybe this is year?
