Question

I don&#x27;t understand the line on this one .. with a total of 5, Vegas is expecting a low scoring tight checking game thus - in theory - giving the underdog more value yet they list the Stars as a pretty hefty &#x2B;150 underdog &#xA;I believe the Stars have a pretty good shot at 2 points and am considering taking Stars &#x2B;1.5 -170 given the low total ...&#xA;Anyone have any thoughts on this particular game?

I sure wouldn&#x27;t turn a &#x2B;150 dog into a high juiced fave.

&#x2B;1.5 is just asking for that Empty net goal in the long run the empty net goal will hit you enough to not make any money

The Blues, Stars and Ruins have adopted the same playing style.  Defence the other team to death.  Just look at their last 4 or 5 H2H.

Sometimes I&#x27;ll get creative and combine a &#x2B;1.5 with a regulation bet. For Stars instead of &#x2B;1 being -108 it would be around &#x2B;130. The difference is that Stars would have to win in regulation, an OT win would still be a push.OR you could combine &#x2B;2 with a regulation bet for the same price as &#x2B;1 and ML. Again, they&#x27;d have to win in regulation for a win but if they lose by 2 you push.
