Habs, Caps, Sabres, Panthers, Wings, Isles, Flyers and Sharks are all on the 1st leg of a B2B. Thus, we might see more than a couple backups.

Det: Osgood (Nothing to do with Howard's loss on Wednesday. Was decided at the start of the week).
Fla: Clemmensen (Vokoun to start Saturday)

you can almost guarentee Thomas is in goal for the Bruins tomorrow night. Rask played tonight and Division game tomorrow.

Thomas missed today because of a "minor undisclosed injury" so nothing's a guarantee

Chris Osgood (flu) will be back in net on Friday.

Osgood has missed the last four games with the flu. Jimmy Howard played well during Osgood's absence and will get the start in goal on Saturday. Look for Osgood to play in 50-55 games this season and Howard to get the rest.

 

Evgeni Nabokov will get the start in goal on Friday for San Jose.

The Sharks take on Philadelphia. Nabokov was rested on Tuesday against Nashville, so this will be his first game since Sunday. Nabokov has been a fantasy stud thus far this season with a 12-3-4 record, a .927 save percentage and a 2.16 GAA. He is a must start and a top-three fantasy goaltender.

It must be very minor because he looked fine in practice Thursday and again in the pre-game warmup. He still dressed as the backup. We'd be surprised if he didn't play Friday against the Sabres.

Are people sure about this?  On a Montreal Canadiens forum they are starting a rookie goalie?  Has anyone else heard this?

Don't assume anything. They haven't ruled out the possibility of Michal Neuvirth getting the start.

Yeah. The doc just wanted to get a chest x-ray as her breathing sounded funny. Got the results back and everything is normal. Wonderful, isn't it, that they waste no time when getting results for newborn blood tests, x-rays, etc?

Heard on the radio Neuvirth will be getting a game this weekend...  I'd think they'd give him the game at home tonight rather than at Toronto tomorrow.
