For all their horrible play, many teams would kill to have their core 5-6 players (especially when Horvat was still there)

Just such a dysfunction organization... Although really I think it's the owner (always be sceptical of inherited wealth)

Wonder if it was just has boilers goaltending last night

Anyway, with their high-end talent, canucks could go on huge run.. And I'd note that start of seasons have been chicks big nemesis. So this result should help them mentally

The Canucks have had some good seasons and some really lean years. Incompetent ownership has held the Canucks back for the past decade, and will continue to do so, but there is at least some stability in the front office now with Allvin and Rutherford who has put together a Cup winner or two during his time. As long as their core players produce, with Hughes on the blueline and Demko holding down the fort, they have a fighting chance every night.

Yep when you look at their top 6 (as you mentioned especially with Horvat) it was hard to fathom the performance. If they can stop being a head case organization and play to their potential on the ice they have the chance to be a pretty decent team.

Big win in game 2..&#xA; &#xA;Now they start 4 game eastern road trip... 2 very tough teams, 1 good team and 1 mediocre team... Although all 4 have started slowly
