I was hoping they would lose game 1 so the series odds would increase...pekka rinne is the REAL DEAL! take Nashville after they lose Game 2.

haha, you will lose your money. Rinne is the real deal but he also had to goal posts in the game and next game he will see big buf and kopecky in front of the net so he will not have it so easy...I know my opinion might be a little bias because I am a hawks fan.
But let me tell you this, I watch every Hawks game and know from the drop of the puck that this was not the same team I watched play the last 2 weeks of the year and feel the 6 days off hurt them. In saying that you will see a different team the rest of the way. Toews and Hossa will take this series over. I mean lastnight Nashville wasn't even in the game until the 3rd period and got one lucky bounce changing the momentum of the game.
So with that said anyone who listens to this guy will lose their money!!!
Your money should go on chicago to win this seires (-238)because if you think Nashville is going to win this it is going to be in 7 games and I don't see them winning this seires in chicago and the most hostile crowd in the NHL!!

I have 5 times this year and was at the last game of the year against Detroit and let me tell you when the Madhouse on Madison is rockin...you can feel the building shake!!
Calling it right now....HAWKS in 6!!!
Nashville will see the Chicago Blackhawks on their game the rest of the way, they needed this loss to wake the F*** up and realize that just because all media is picking them out of the West it doesn't mean it is going to be a cake walk!

You asked me if I've ever been there, not if I've been there this year. If you wanna argue THIS YEAR, I could still give you a couple arenas rowdier then Chicago. Obviously you can't get the full impression from watching a game on tv, but I wouldn't put Chicago in the top 5.

No question do the Hawks have fire power. I don't see Nashville losing at home so Hawks will be down 3-1. No chance of them coming back after that deficit.
Your argument might have a little more validity if you weren't such a Hawks homer! I have to agree with the posts that the United Center is not the most hostile crowd...

I am not wanting to argue with you, but when you haven't been to Chicago this year and actually know that they are the talk of the town, you can't say that this arena is not insane, especially come playoff time.
Chicago is a sports city, and as a diehard Hawks fan let me tell you we have been waiting for the playoffs since game 6 last year when they lost in over time to Detroit in the West Final.

Well off the top of my head I would say pretty much ANY Canadian arena, is way more hostile then Chicago. I would also throw Buffalo and Washington in there without a doubt.

Can't say I've been to UC but I know for certain Philly's arena is one of the toughest crowds. With that said, I'm sure the United Center is rocking...why shouldn't they be with that talented team?
Nashville is well coached, well disciplined (least PIM's during regular season) and have a very hot goalie. Chicago is unquestionably one of the best teams in the NHL. I think they really needed to pick up a #1 goalie. The goalie carousel between Niemi and Huet doesn't work.

Well you opinion really means nothing as you are judging a series by one game and then turning around and laying a guarantee that Nashville wins a series because they had a total of 11 or 12 shots through 2 periods of hockey and got a lucky goal.
Nashville has no skill!! That will be the difference of the series!
I will make sure I keep this post up in my space so I can come back and laugh at you when the REAL BLACKHAWKS show up the rest of the way.

Got one...just so everybody is aware of who Niemi really is besides just what you eher in the media. I mean when you have the talent chicago has, they have to find something wrong with the team. So of coarse they will go right to their goaltending it is no secret it is their weak link.

You talk as if Nashville played like shit during the regular season. Look buddy, I expected Chicago to take game 1 and yes, Nashville stole game 1. Chicago is a VERY young team, don't forget that. I expect a hard fought series. Just think this is Nashville's year to get past the first round. Do I expect Nashville to win the Cup? Absolutely not..but I do believe they will beat the Hawks.
Don't get all hurt because I think your team will lose. If the Hawks win, I'll tip my hat to you. But if you want to win some , take the Preds.

I took Nashville at +350 for series. Nash has a better coach, goalie and defence. Hawks have more speed and talented forwards. Eye opener was Preds lack of celebration after their victory. They gathered briefly and skated off quietly, unlike ALL other teams jumping into eachothers arms like they won the cup. The Hawks replace Niemi with sieve Huet and the series goes the distance imo.
