I could go on all day....review the game and look at what the wings get away with compared to the hawks.

That's why, it does not even out.

I think we all need to acknowledge that the officiating did favour Detroit, but they were slightly better tonight in my opinion and deserved the W.  Howard was a STAR.

Howard was great in net, he was the reason they won tonight.

During the regular season you have guys like Hook, polar_bear, LRR, etc...who actually analyze/follow/understand the game. During the playoffs, this forum becomes a complete ****fest...filled with haters, trolls, and idiots who get carried away based on one games result.

flyinghawks, I respectfully disagree. and for the other Hawk fans or bettors whining about losing money, simmer down. This is going to be a 6-7 game series. Yes, the Wings have now won two in a row, and tonight they looked awesome, but if one of the three goal posts goes in early, or the dis-allowed goal was allowed, it's a different story and we'd have seen a shift in the game. Momentum is a HUGE thing, and although the Wings have it right now, to say the Hawks will be "lucky" to win one more game is ridiculous. Howard has been great, but his goal posts made him earn that label tonight. Hawks will come out and look to score the first goal in the next game. When they do, momentum will shift and their confidence will sky rocket.

just seen the the replay of the goal that was called back on the HAWKS and that was absolutely DISGUSTING no matter what team you cheer for. He never even made contact with the goalie what so ever and they still called it goalie interference. and more and more the nhl seems to starting in the direction of the NBA

wings were the better team, but quite frankly terrible reffing both ways

#1 the no goal
#2 franzen hit
#3 sharp hook above the circle
#4 the call on keith near the end, yes he extended his arm but thats meh, however the other guy (punches/pushes) kieth head. That to me is terrible reffing, letting a guy retaliate like that!

I don't know if Hawks fans expected to blow through Detroit or what, but the series is only 2-1. If they win Thurs it is a 3 game series with 2 in Chicago. Then if you beat Detroit (which you should do) then you get to play LA or SJ (probably LA). It does not get easier. You guys are going to have a coronary watching the Cup!

Saying the blackhaeks outplayed the wings is ridiculous.

The hawks only had a shot advantage because the wings sat on a 2-0 lead. The shots were 17-4 in the third period.
 


Like I said, Red Wings were the more efficient team offensively and Howard was great in net, that's giving 0 credit? I am not saying its the refs fault even though they did favour Detroit in that game. Saying Chicago was "outclassed" from the start is just not true and you know that.
