I did this last year with a positive return. I just can't lay this much juice on any team. I can make a case for each dog, even Montreal of Nashville.
The beauty of betting the pups is that at any time in the series, you can hedge out. All it takes is for a split in any of the first home games. OR if any series goes to seven games, you can almost always scalp a few bucks, or even get bold and try the +1.5 route and hope for a middle at little risk.
Game 1 of a playoff series is where the favorite is most exposed. Series odds will be readjusted after each night, lots of room for value.
Someone talk me out of one favorite, I'd love to hear it. Remember, this is hockey. A goal off of a skate can change a series. This is not basketball where 85% of the time, the dominant team will win in a seven game series.
